Why Copenhagen Climate Change Conference Must Fail

In a surprise statement today the world's leading climate change expert annouced that he hopes the Copenhagen climate change summit, billed as our last chance to avoid a global warming catastrophe, ends in failure. Any deal struck, according to James Hansen, would involve the creation of a carbon trading market and in putting the interests of capitalism ahead of solving the problem would only make matters worse

Many people in the developed world who have been gullible enough to believe the warnings of scientists and politicians about the dire consequences of climate change will be saddened if not horrified to hear the man acknowledged as the world's leading climate change expert say that the Copenhagen summit meeting of the world's leading nations that will aim to make a legally binding deal on controlling carbon emissions must fail if we are to avoid catastrophe.

Yes you read that right. James Hansen, head of the American government NASA Goddard Institute For Space Studies has said he wants the summit to fail to produce a deal because he believes any deal will be catastrophic. What has the Daily Stirrer and before it Little Nicky Machiavelli been telling you for the past few years? All this climate change science is a scam. The coneheads are out there counting everything but they do not understand what they are counting. They are very good at producing statistics guaranteed to spread fear and panic and also very good at starting from the answers their paymasters want to hear and working backwards until they have discovered the question. Now politicians and corporate profiteers being the paymasters of the science industry you may guess that the whole climate chance science scam is about power and money.

Look at some of the recent scare stories contrived to bully us all into craven submission as the scientific - political axis of evil set about saving the world by creating a global market in which carbon allowances can be bundled and traded. One of the true aims of Copenhagen is to soften up the taxpayers in developed nations for draconian carbon taxes on or domestic fuel and transport costs. Such a policy that would bring in $€£trillions in revenues and in the process reduce ordinary, moderately affluent families to penury is the only way government's can see of digging themselves out of a global economic slump that was caused by their encouraging the creation of markets to trade in things that don't exist. Check out for example this story which appeared in The Scotsman and many other newspapers around the world.

Global warming will wipe out billions around the world
Note the hyperbole here. "Will wipe out" is stated with the certainty of an evangelical preacher predicting Armageddon and we all know what a great record those guys have with their predictions.

Here is another article from a leading newspaper, this time The Guardian bemoaning the fact that surveys show the number of people who believe these predictions of doom and disaster is falling rapidly Apocalypse Fatigue: Losing The Public On Climate Change reports how confidence in climate change science is falling rapidly.

Is it any wonder when almost daily people are presented with ludicrous scare stories like the one in the Scotsman we linked above or when talking heads appear on Television and order us "You must believe the climate change scientists, the case on anthropogenic global warming is settled, the scientific evidence is overwhelming. Only cranks and right wing extremists are trying to continue the debate." Anybody with eyes and ears and a moderate level of intelligence knows that simply is not true. For every study claiming to show we are much closer to climate catastrophe than we think there is another that shows global warming is slowing or has even stopped.

Read this article from the English language version of the highly respected German newspaper Der Spiegel; Climatologists baffled By Global Warming Time Out. It might be a good time to set out my position on the topic here. Having campaigned about climate change for over thirty years I am certainly not a climate change denier although the climate science evangelists have tried to pin that label on me as they do on anybody who questions their "science." It is this fanaticism that has led intelligently sceptical observers to start using religious fundamentalism metaphors to describe the climate change science lobby and the government control freakery. When the science boys started to talk of "anthropogenic global warming" this called down suspicion of their "science." Who would use five syllables when two (man made) are a better description of what they say is going on. People who are trying to make themselves sound so clever their opponents are intimidated, that's who.

I have no doubt changes in the climate and the world's weather patterns are occurring. What I do doubt is the scientific methods used to measure them. In the last thirty years "scientists" (I hate that word, it has no meaning in any practical context) have become obsessed with mathematics. When studying climate practical methods are called for. Mathematics is an abstract body of knowledge, it can be used as a form of shorthand to describe many processes but it is not part of the process. I have had people calling themselves scientists who tried to tell me when I questioned Big Bang theory that the Universe exists because of mathematics, almost a creationist argument. Yet such people become furious at anybody who mentions religious faith. The Universe was running long before humans invented mathematics. How does the Universe work? "It works," is the only sensible answer anyone can give. An electron orbiting the nucleus of an atom no more needs to know the value of Pi is 3.142 than a drop of water need to learn about gravity before it can start to flow towards the sea.

The problem climate change scientists have run into is this mathematical obsession. They are so deluded as to have convinced themselves that everything can be measured and understood through mathematics. Thus they have gathered data on many aspects of weather patterns, marine currents, plant and tree growth and more and they have tried to use this data to create mathematical models that predict where the climate is heading. The sheer gobsmacking folly of this approach lies in their simple minded belief that linear methods can be used to predict non linear processes. The have tried to model life itself with computer science. To say such people are not as clever as they think they are is the most gross understatement imaginable.

Actually "anthropogenic" is not the right word if somebody is trying to say global warming is all due too human activity. It assumes wrongly that all anthropoid species are human. In fact anthropoid (man-like) species, as well as humans include Orang - Outans, Chimps, Bonobos, Gibbons and Gorillas. It is quite unfair to hang any blame on those species, they had nothing to do with it. Anthropology is the study of the origins of man but if the scientists were thinking of the origins of man when they made up the world anthropogenic then they are guilty of shifting blame to cavemen. Well if cavemen had become extinct rather than developing civilization conditions on earth might or might not have been the same as they are now. Nobody capable of knowing would be here to know of course so it would not be a problem.

That just about demolishes the case for listening to anything politicians or climate scientists have to say on the subject. It has been admitted above there is a problem though, so what are we to do?

We need to change the way we produce our food and the way we eat. Intensive farming, especially that which uses scientific methods of increasing crop yields or fattening up livestock more quickly are huge contributors to the problem, not just through carbon emissions but because of their contribution to deforestation and the interference with river flows and water tables by irrigation and domestic water extraction. Ooooh! No wonder the science boys are so defensive. When we start to look at the problem objectively "science", the pursuit of quick easy profits through chemistry, physics, biology, electrical and mechanical engineering, starts to look very culpable.

Talk about changing the way we farm or our typical diet and scientists are quick to show their stupidity again. We can't return to a medieval lifestyle, somebody will yell after announcing he or she (usually he) is a scientist. No, we can't but nobody has suggested we do. Talk about controlling population through child tax or tax breaks for childless couples, increased awareness and availability of contraceptive methods and the science lobby, because they never listen properly, will scream "Nazi's" and "eugenics." So a big step in tackling the problems effectively is to exclude scientists (or to be precise scientists who think of themselves as progressive and socialist) from the debate. Quite simply the world has too many people. We are cutting down forests to clear land so food can be produced to feed them. We are depleting the oceans of a valuable food source even as we pollute those oceans with the fertilizers and pesticides spread on fields due to "scientific" farming methods. In turn the pollutants that poison the young fish which should replace those taken for food nourish algae growth which depletes the water of oxygen so the fishes die. Everywhere we look there is a vicious circle and always at it's centre are the unforseen consequences of science.

Anybody still think these clowns who are so big on academic learning so short on life experience have anything to offer?

After we silence the science on climate change the next thing that needs to be addressed is economics. We have already discussed how the New World Order politicians are planning to use Copenhagen as a front for imposing punitive carbon taxes as they only way to raise the revenue they need to pay off international bankers. That is just one economic problem. Another is we must change the global economic model. Although the argument that climate change is entirely due to carbon emissions has been comprehensively undermined recently a global economy that relies on perpetual economic growth to infinity in a world of finite resources is idiocy exemplified.

In the past two decades most of the economic growth has come from candy floss industries, financial services, leisure and travel. Also people in developed nations have been encouraged to run up unsupportable levels of personal debt. By doing this national governments and international banks inflated an economic bubble. The world had lost contact with reality, we were living in a fantasy magic kingdom. Then the bubble burst in 2007. Now the only idea of the Copenhagen table is to find a way of reinflating that bubble. Never forget however that though the politicians with their short termism and the economists with their mathematical modelling tell us the crash cannot happen again, they told us it could never happen in the first place. Those of us who were warning for a decade that when the crash came, when it was discovered the world had been living on monopoly money the consequences would be catastrophic were sneered at and called insane.

There was a time, not so long ago, when those of us lucky enough to attend elite schools were taught always to think for ourselves. Now the talk is always of "the wisdom of crowds," the philosophy of The Emperor's New Clothes. Once upon a time people who trod their own path and had well formed opinions were listened to with respect even by those who disagreed. Now the person who dares break with mainstream thinking is ostracized and pilloried.

In observing monkeys and apes, anthropoids, naturalists have noted how the tribe will turn on an outsider sometimes just driving it away by pelting it with stones, sticks and turds, sometimes tearing it to pieces. Those of us who have dared to question "Anthropogenic Climate Change" in the discussion threads at online scientific forums experience an electronic facsimile of such behaviour. No matter how intelligent or valid the question raised, no matter how well proven the point is the science boys will turn into a tribe of monkeys and try to drive away the outsider. It may just be insecurity, maybe fear of being found out, their debates being bland, banal and always "on message, nothing more than verbal mutual masturbation really. Of maybe the people who dreamed up the term "Anthropogenic" meant the war on common sense was being waged by people who wanted to take us back to the genesis of humankind, to a pre-human social order based on that of monkey clans.

Always think for yourself. It is better to think and be wrong that not think: Hypatia of Alexandria.

Vertical Farming: The Looniest Idea Yet For Saving The PlanetClimate Science is a strange discipline. Part trainspotting, part trekkie convention going, it combines an almost autistic obession with collcting details, a very autistic obsession with focusing on a single theme and a fantasist's capacity for self deception and a taste for mutual masturbation. The latest loonytoons idea for saving the planet involves turning skyscraper buildings into farms growing food for urban populations. Apart from increasing the cost of food by 1000% and increasing rather than reducing the carbon footprint of food production the idea is so insane noboy could ever take it seriously. Nobody that is except scientists, politicians, academics and the media.

Climate Change Crooks And LiarsThough climate change alarmists claim that that "the science is settled" no longerr holds water the arguments rage on. If anything they are getting more heated as the climate science lobby, knocked from the moral high grounds show their true colours. But more and more evidence is showing the climate change science was never settyled and the global warming Armageddonists had built their whole case on very flimsy evidence.
Climate Science Debunked By Science Superstar Max Planck.
One of the lies most often repeated by the Climate Science lobby is that 'the science stands' i.e. that no fault was found in the scientific work of the CRU. This is both true and a lie, true in that no fault was found, a lie because the reason no fault was found is that to examine the scientific work was outside the Russell panel's terms of reference. This report features the Max Planck Institute's take on climate science and the IPCC.

One Decent Jobs Report Does Not Make A Recovery
There are two reasons why President Obama rushed to the microphone on Friday shortly after the government’s Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) released relatively good news (by recent standards) that the unemployment rate dropped to 8.3% in January, while the economy added 243,000 seasonally adjusted jobs. ...

Unemployment at 8.3% Still Leaves A Vast And Destructive Jobs Deficit Robert Reich, The Guardian

Much Media Ado About Nothing What connects seemingly disparate works such as The Silence of the Lambs, Cape Fear, Mad Men, and Seinfeld? Dawn Of The Ice Age Signals The End Of The Global Warming Scam Back then, the media and activists trumpeted the arrival of a new ice age, with the specter of ice sheets and glaciers covering half the northern hemisphere, and brutal winters in the remaining ice-free zones. But reading The Weather Conspiracy: The Coming of the New Ice Age opened my eyes to an even more significant aspect ...
