Ed Miliband, The Coalition and The Thought Police
How queer it sounds to hear Ed Miliband, the new leader on The Labour Party talking of protecting the freedom and civil rights of people in the era of austerity that will be the results of the Coalition government's budget cuts. Not only does he forget (or deliberately overlook) the fact that it was Labour's financial incompetence that necessitated austerity but he daintily tiptoes around the fact that he was part of the New Labour government that crated a bureaucratic thought police regime to make war on our freedoms/

Insecurity is fuel for the far right's hateBritain has resisted the far right but studies suggest cuts will harden attitudes. All parties need to rethink Ed Miliband wrote in The Guardian recently:

A century of democratic politics teaches that economics and identity are the two most compelling calls to action. Their interplay can produce a dangerous brew. As Britain contemplates a parliament of austerity, we need to understand what makes for the politics of division, and fight it.

Compared to some other European countries, we in the UK can consider ourselves relatively lucky in our experience of extremist politics. There have been hard-fought battles. But serious extremist parties have not got a grip.

However, research published today on behalf of the Searchlight Educational Trust shows how people can become lured towards more aggressive forms of identity politics. It shows we can't complacently assume we are exceptional in the European context. We are not.

Searchlight has been at the forefront of beating back the National Front and the BNP since the 1970s. But if the emotional extremism of the far right we have so far seen blends into something more calculating and more credible, then this run of marginalised extremism may become more difficult to sustain. (article)

The first point to note here is that Mr. Miliband does not mention among his extremists Islam4UK, a group dedicated to turning at least Islamic Britain into a state within a state with Muslim not being subject to the British Parliament and UK law but to an Islamic theocracy and Sharia law, nor does he refer to The Anti Nazi League and Unite Against Fascism, left wing extremist groups who are quick to use violence to disrupt peaceful and legally sanctioned protests by conservative or nationalist groups or to attack and abuse delegates to Conservative and UKIP gatherings, to curtail the business activities of companies they disapprove of or to silence anybody who challenges their collectivist, internationalist agenda.

Ah but these people are socialists not fascists, their defenders will protest. Yes, but let us never forget Hitler's political movement were The National Socialists. All that has changed with the world domination, ination club lefties is their dreams of power grew bigger as the world became smaller.

To David Miliband however we must address the question, "Who was in government, David, when this move to extremism you complain of kicked in?"

Could it have been Labour, the party he now leads which when in government became so obsessed with legislating for every eventuality they came up with laws that enabled bureaucratic authoritarianism like the following?

The Labour Thought Police in action. Chapter 1

Countryside Restoration Trust chairman and newspaper columnist Robin Page said at a Countryside Association rally against the Government’s anti-hunting laws in Gloucestershire in 2002: “If you are a black, gay, vegetarian asylum-seeking Muslim, one-legged lesbian, I want the same rights as you.” Page was taken into custody and bailed pending charges. After four months he received a letter saying no charges would be pressed, but that: “If further evidence comes to our attention whereby your involvement in racist activities is implicated, we will seek to initiate proceedings.” It took him five years to clear his name.

The government Mr. Miliband was part of, Labour - which liked to style itself the people's party until long after everyone knew it was dominated by lawyers, academics and big business - occasioned that. Obviously no longer 'the people's party' but the on - message people's party'.

Was Mr.Page insensitive? Yes. Was he rude? Yes. Did he display a lack of manners? Yes. Should any of those things be a crime? No. People simply need to grow up and decide to rise above ill mannered and insensitive outbursts. The world will never be perfect and we will never eradicate behaviour that somebody could find offensive until humans have been replaced by robots.

Does Miliband think Mr. Page's human rights were protected by the state in this case ? I don't. I think the rights of those silly, immature, hyspersensitive people were given priority over his. OK, his bad tempered outburst was over the top but can we claim to be living in a fair society when one person's feelings take precedence over another's? This is an excellent example of agents of the state acting like The Thought Police created in George Orwell's fiction 1984 (written in 1948). When the state starts to tell people what they may and may not think It is indicative that a very nasty regime is in place. My Dad warned me about the Thought Police when I was young. He had experience of how they work, as a young Labour councillor in the post war years he had opposed the party line (in British electoral law people are elected to serve their constituents, not the party). All hell broke loose and he was expelled from the party and coerced into standing down within a matter of weeks. In 1939 at the age of 19 Dad had gone to war, putting his life on the line to protect his country from enemies who already had Thought Police. He had not gone eagerly but willingly. Seventy years later, in a betrayal of the values of those brave and noble working class people who in the 19th century risked prosecution to form the party and win political rights for the working class, the control freaks of New Labour gave Britain our very own Thought Police.

The Labour Thought Police in action. Part 2

In September 2006, a 14-year-old schoolgirl, Codie Stott, asked a teacher if she could sit with another group to do a science project as all the girls in her group spoke only Urdu. The teacher’s reaction, according to Stott, was to scream at her: “It’s racist, you’re going to get done by the police!” As the school and the education authority have always refused to comment her story cannot be contradicted.

Upset and frightened by the outburst, the schoolgirl went outside to calm down. The teacher called the police and a few days later, presumably after officialdom had held several meeting to discuss the matter and formulate an action plan , she was arrested and taken to a police station, where she was fingerprinted and photographed. Codie's mother says she was placed in a holding cell for three and a half hours. 14 year old Codie was then questioned by officers on suspicion of committing a racist public order offence but eventually released without charge. The school was said to be investigating what further action to take, not against the bullying teacher, but against Stott. Headmaster Anthony Edkins reportedly said: “An allegation of a serious nature was made concerning a racially motivated remark. We aim to ensure a caring and tolerant attitude towards pupils of all ethnic backgrounds and will not stand for racism in any form.”

The Labour Thought Police in action again Mr. Miliband. Is it any wonder people feel insecure when even the most innocuous question or remark can be interpreted as racist, when in any dispute the word of the person with darker skin will be believed regardless of evidence, is it any wonder people feel insecure when the state that is prepared to treat a 14 year old as a criminal simply because she asked to be allowed to work with people who spoke the same language as her, the mother tongue of her native country, the country she had lived in all her life?

. The Labour Thought Police in action.. Part 3

A 10-year-old child was arrested, charged and brought before a court, for having allegedly called an 11-year-old pupil a “Paki” and “bin Laden” during a playground argument at a primary school (the other boy had called him a skunk and a Teletubby). By the time it reached the court the case had cost taxpayers £25,000 and the accused boy was so distressed he had stopped attending school. The judge, Jonathan Finestein, said:

“Have we really got to the stage where we are prosecuting 10-year-old boys because of political correctness? There are major crimes out there and the police don’t even bother to investigate. This is nonsense.”

Finestein was vilified by teaching union leaders, accused of being racist as in those witch-hunt trials where any who spoke in defence of an accused or pointed to defects in the prosecution were immediately accused of also being witches. And we should remember, as with medieval witch hunters so with The Thought Police. In cases of Witchcraft and Thought Crime to be accused is to be proved guilty.

Arresting 10 years olds for a playground taunt. Hello SS. Hello KGB .

David Miliband obviously has a very distorted idea of what the core values the British nation was built on actually were.

The Labour Thought Police in action.. Part 4

A bishop (The Church of England declined to identify him) was warned by the police that church organisations in his diocese were not doing enough to “celebrate diversity”, the enforcing of which is now apparently a police function that has priority over catching murderers, rapist, arsonists, burglars and violent thugs. Ah but those types can be , they might have guns or knives or baseball bats with nails through the end, and another branch of The Thought Police, the Health And Safety Kommisarat would not allow anybody to take a risk in the course of doing their job I guess.

Anyway the reason the Bishop incurred the wrath of The Thought Police was because a Christian home for retired clergy and religious workers would not reveal to official snoopers how many of the residents were homosexual. That they had never been asked was taken as evidence of homophobia. The home lost its local authority grant and the senior clergyman in the area was cautioned for discrimination against minorities.

Fantastic! Result! Cry Freedom as you celebrate diversity. But make sure you are only celebrating the type of diversity approved by The Thought Police or else.

There are hundreds of examples of this type of behaviour by agents of the state. It is still going on with the Coalition government in power, the deelpy entrenched warlords of the bureaucracy are at war with sanity. A good site to find your own evidence should you need any more are Big Brother Watch, Dick Puddlecoat, Anna Raccoon.

To list any more abuses of power here would be to risk boring readers. There are enough above to note that all these abuses of power were done in the name of "equality", "diversity" and "fairness".

Orwell wrote a book about such fairness. It is still a good, relevant and frightening read over sixty years later.

Ban Terry JonesAs usual the Labour Loony Left are getting their knickers in a right old twist about somebody most of us might not care to have as a dinner guest being allowed into the country. When you hear the name Terry Jones you might think of phrases like 'He's not The Messiah, he's a very naughty boy,' or 'Nobody expects the Spanish Inquisition,' but fortunately it is not the Terry Jones of Monty Python fame.
Liberal? What Does That Mean? What is a liberal? Is it something to do with the kind of politically correct thinking that obsesses over minority rights while seeking to marginalise mainstream society? Is liberalism an authoritarian system that seeks to impose politically correct left wing ideology on everybody. Or is a liberal, as is argued here, a very respectable political postion whose name has been usurped by people reluctant to acknowledge their inner Nazi.

Liberal DilemmaThe progresive left, the politically correct Thought Police, are big on supporting all minorities in their pursuit of their rights and in preaching tolerance and diversity to society at large. But what happens when two of those precipous minorities, say for example Muslims and feminists come into conflict on some issue.
Going Halal In Harrow - Going Gay In RomeAs America divides politically again over plans to build a Muslim centre with prayer room (its not a Mosque OK) close to the site of the World Trade Centre destroyed in 2001 by Muslim Terrorists, Britain has a few divisions of its own brewing on a smaller scale of course. One involves Muslims and Halal meat in schools, in the other the gay rights lobby, famed for demanding tolerance, are showing no tolerance towards Roman Catholic religious principles.

Electricity bills set to rise to pay for wind farm subsidies
While sensible people agree that the climate is causing serious problems few people still think this is due solely to CO2 emissions from human activity. Even the author of Gaia theory has said the problem is more complex. Unfortunately climate scientists with their snouts in the tax money trough are still pushing the discredited idea that wind turbines and solar panels can meet our energy needs. Well if that is the case why are domestic fuel bills rising to pay for subsidies paid to the operators of these failed technologies. [ also Daily Stirrer 21 May 2012

How The Grexit May Make Things Worse In Greece
It looks more likely that Greece will crash out of the euro. But if it attempts to return to the drachma, there's a pretty big problem, which no one's really come up with a way to fix. Is America Really A Post White Nation or Is This Writer Spouting Typical Progressive Claptrap When is a majority less than a majority? Answer: when the minority is bigger. This is what has just happened in the US: births to the white majority in America fell in the first six months of last year to just 49.6 per cent of the total, meaning that Caucasians, as they are quaintly known, may within the next 30 years become an endangered species.Given America’s boast that it is a land of ...
