Daily Stirrer contributors write from the heart and shoot from the hip on all the topics that are making news, we give praise where it is due but our job is to expose the deviousness, duplicity and dishonesty of those slimeballs and scusockers who having attained power behave as if the world exists for their convenience. The writers will tackle business and politics, bureucracy, health society, science and technology. education, transport and any other issue where the media conspire with the money men to make sure the difficult questions are not being asked.

September 2010 Uptight - The Blood Donor Experience
by fatsally
Once upon a time giving blood was easy, the atmosphere relaxed and people were encouraged to feel as is they were doing something good and worthwhile. Now, acording to fatsally's latest experience, a visit to the blood bank to offer a life saving armful is like The Prisoner meets Orwell's Big Brother. Bureaucracy has taken over and nobody is allowed to fel relaxed. Rules are rules.

Just been along to blood donors.
I've been going for years.
Loads of changes have occured over the time.

Court Victory For Anti - MMR Campaigners.
It is the medical scandal that refuses to go away. Since its introduction controversy has surrounded the MMR vaccine because in a small number - and we must stress, a small number - of cases children develop serious and permanent side effects after reveiving the vaccine. Now at last, after following a tactic used successfully in the USA and keeping the word autism out of their case, lawyers working for the family of Robert Fletcher have won the first award of compensation for 'brain damage' reslting from the MMR vaccine.

Property Prices To Fall Again?Despite government eforts to talk up a recovery the economy remains stubbornly stagnant. It is unsurprising really, the UK economy still relies far too much on the housing and property market and with incomes being squeezed and house prices remaining so high they are beyond the reach of first time buyers there is little change of increased activity while unemployment continues to rise.

Do We Need GM Salmon
US authorities today began the process to approve the first GM animal for human consumption.

The approval process could take less than a year, and if it gets the green light the fish could be on the market in 18 months.
Environmentalists and scientists see the decision as marking a threshold. If it is approved it is likely to open the door to a large range of ...

Dumb Science Story Of The Week: Old People Forget Things

The scientists concluded this is because as people get older they become more inclined to forget things.

Labour Minister Announces Death Of Free Speech *** 8 May 09 ***
The war on free speech is hotting up. This week Labour Home Secretary Jaqui Smith announced that Amaerican right wing Radio Shock Jock Michael Savage would be banned from entering Britain because he says nasty things about Islam and Muslims or as the official statement put it, incites violence. Are we, the voters, not mature enough to make up our own minds and ignore Savage if he has nothing relevant to say. That is if he comes here because the most bizarre, inept and PR stupid thing about the ban is, unlike Dutch MP Geert Wilders who was denied entry a few weeks ago because the Labout government did not like some of his views, Michael Savage had no plans to enter Britain.

American Government To Offer Three Flu Jabs This Autumn
Citizen Wells reports that over in America, as The daly Stirrer predicted will happen in Britain, the Swine Flue scare has been turned into a big spendfest of taxpayers money by government and another handout by stealth for the dark forces of globalisation. The Obama administration have announced not one but THREE flu jabs will be made available to Americans later in the year, one to counteract plain vanilla winter flu, one to protect against the not very deadly Swine Flu strain and one to boost the profits of Big Pharma by protecting US citizens against a strain of influenza that has not been identified yet and probably does not exist. Citizen Wells: Obama Administration Fall Flu Shots, 1 - swine-flu 2 - annual-seasonal-influenza, -3-unprecedented-new--virus. The Daily Stirrer has always been of the opinion that the threat from Swine Flu has been hyped out of all proportion to the actual level of risk. here is the UK there have been regular attempts to push universal vaccination programs, all less than successful as people do not like the element of governmental bullying. A recent drive to promote HPV virus vaccine which protects against cervical cancer was exposed as a collaboration between government and Big Phrama when a "health expert" called for all children to be vaccinated, boys as well. The justification for this was "OK, boys cannot get the disease but can be carriers." The illogic of that case is if all girls are vaccinated it does not matter if boys are carriers. The logic is that at £300 per course (estimated), vccinating all 600,000 kids born every year is a much bigger chunk of taxpayers money going into the pockets of vaccine manufacturers than if only the 300,00 girls are vaccinated. As one of our contributors wrote in an article on Swine Flu for Jeff Schreiber's Americas Right, always ask "Cui Bono", who benefits? AND ON A LIGHTER NOTE read this hilarious Boggart Blog post that takes a story about a disease of bats and turns it into a spoof pandemic story on the lines of Mad Cow Disease, Avian Flu, MRSA and Swine Flu.

Updated 7 May 2009 Citizen Wells, having broken this story yesterday brings us much more information on the Swine Flu scare that appeared to be a totally synthetic inflating of a minor news story about an outbreak of a minor illness. Now you can believe this if you will, or you can dismiss it as a conspiracy theory. The only advice The Daily Stirrer would give is that offered by Hypatia Of Alexandria, proto feminist of the ancient world. "Always think for yourself. It is better to think and be wrong than not to think."

Hugging An African Does Not Help
Ian R Thorpe

The recession is prompting the Hollywood and New York glitterati turn the volume up to eleven of their shriekophonic charity appeal amplifier in response to news that guess what, the recession hitting the west so hard means Africa needs shitloads on our money. (See this nauseatingly self indulgent and self adoring article Power Of Youth Can Beat World Hunger by Drew Barrymore on Huffington Post if you doubt me.) But is aid a good thing? Ian R. Thorpe for The Daily Stirrer reviews a book by African economist Dambesa Moyo that suggests western aid is counter productive. Read The Daily Stirrer's review of Dambisa's book by clicking the window below.

In giving aid the developed world always tries to impose its solutions on developing nations. It would, would it not, make more sense to listen to Africans about what will help them rather than telling them how to run their communities and organise their lives.

Hate Crimes Law - Another Step Towards Fascism?

A new law defining hate crimes passed in the USA this week violates the constitution according to its critics. It threatens the right to free speech and in allowing more severe penalites to be imposed if a crime is ajudged a hate crime than if the same crime had been commited without hatred on grounds of race, religion or sexual orientation being part of the motive. This clearly breaches the first of the US constitution's "self evident" truths, that all people are equal.

Let's leave the muslims, blacks and gays out of the argument because not being the centre of attention for once is guaranteed to piss them off.

OK Osama, Jeremiah, Perez, come and have a go if you think you're hard enough.

Say sombody saw me taking money out of a cashpoint, followed me into a quiet street and beat the crap out of me. How is it a worse crime if they did it because they hate disabled people than if they did it because they wanted my money?

In Britain we hve no written constitution, only custom and practice to protect or right of free speech. but Labour's plans to define racism in UK law as anything which a foreign person feeels is racist seems to me like the kind of right to free speech they enjoyed in Nazi Germany.

The Freethinkers must make a stand anainst the fascism of politically correct thinking now...

Labour Looney Calls For Turkey To Become EU Member.

Sanity is a rare quality in the Labour Party these days. The party have lost the plot collectively and individually. So desperate is Brown to clutch at any straw except Jack Straw that it becomes more apparent every day the egomaniacal, economically illiterate, intellectually imbecilic Barack Obama has become the de facto leader of the party.

When at the summit of NATO leaders Obama showed that like mathematics, history, language, science and culture, geography is not one of his strengths by saying that he wanted Turkey in the European Union where it belonged all significant member nations told him to shut the fuck up and mind his own business. Sidi Obama thinks running the EU is his business, after all he is in his own mind at least President Of The Entire Universe And Everything Else Besides but fortunately most EU leaders are not as besotted as Labour's Politically Correct Thought Police with the colour Obama's skin. Pale skin bad, dark skin good they cry in a parody of George Orwell's Animal Farm.

Well we know Labour's New World Order One World Government Neo-Nazis hate everything about Britain, hate being British and will do anything to destroy Britain as we know it and every aspect of British culture so it is no surprise that alone among significant political groups of the leading nations of Europe, Labour's leaders are sycophantically supporting Obama's One World Government drive. In an article titled An xpanded Europe Will Strengthen Britain, Caroline Flint puts forward the argument that the last expansion has been a success (she's wrong) therefore bringing in more nations that have basket case economies and few if any cultural links with Europe must also be a success:

Five years on, it's clear that those sceptics were wrong. The EU is stronger for being broader: an expanded EU has vastly increased trading opportunities for British business, has increased security at home and in our neighbourhood and has weakened the case for creating a European super state.

But making the case for further enlargement and more free movement is undoubtedly more difficult in a recession, when unemployment is rising and pressure on public services intense.

Europe is currently a Bureaucratic mess, spending is out of control, the bureaucracy imposes sanctions on independent minded politicians who speak out against plans for further expansion, more centralisation, more bureaucratic control of member nations and more power for the Politically Correct Thought Police. The Obama led one world movement sees an ally in the European bureaucracy for its agenda to create a world populated by identically bland people. When politically correct Nazis like Obama talk of diversity, they mean abolishing the differences that make our nations diverse, creating a bland, homogenous population who know that above all else they must never question the meritocratic elite.

Caroline Flint's case for further expansion is the weakest, most idiot argument imaginable. All it demonstrates is that Labour have learned nothing in the past few years. With trust in the political system slipping into negative ratings they are still arguing for bigger government, bigger bureaucracies, more centralisation and more control freakery. In June we have the chance to give this party of failures notice to quit. Their representation in the EuropeanParliament will be annihilated. The Conservative will do brilliantly. I hope the Liberal Democrats also a good result. Let's hope the disgruntled Labour voters who haven't the sense to vote Lib Dem or Green and cannot bring themselves to vote Conservative at least are intelligent enough to vote UKIP. A couple of BNP wins would have shock value and prevent the Tories becoming complacent but we don't want right wing extremists raking in buckets of EU funding.

Not that the BNP are as far to the right as the Labour Neo-Nazis of course.

Swine Flu: Crisis OR Conspiracy

The world seems to get more insane every day. Mainstream media in developed nations have in the past few days become frantic in their efforts to spread Fear and Panic. Why? Because of an outbreak of a new variant influenza virus that has so far infected a few thousand people and killed, up to now, around 150.

Since when did people dying become so unacceptable, people die all the time. Life's a bitch. Swine 'flu is still a long way from being a pandemic, it is not even a national epidemic in Mexico yet. "But millions could die," protest the peddlers of Fear and Panic. Yes could, not will. The only thing that is epidemic at the moment is hyperbole.

So far just over 2000 cases have been confirmed in Mexico and 150 people have died. A handful of cases have been conformed outside

To Sack A Nurse For Caring Is Insane
An increasingly unhealthy trend among governments of the "free world" led by the much misunderstood Obama administration is to try to suppress asll dissent and criticism. There are many new crimes being put on the statute book by Obama's authoritarian cohorts and the neo-fasists of New Labour. Whistle blowing, speaking out against incompetence, corruption and malfeasance in public service departments by public sprited employees has always been severely punished. In the public secor there has always been a culture of secrecy, of closing ranks against the outside world and covering up failures.

Imagine then the dilemma of a caring and conciensious nurse who is forged to watch vulnerable patients suffer as she and colleagues are divereted from patient care to bureaucratic priorities.

To Sack A Nurse For Exposing Cruelty Is A Farcical injustice

Swine Flu - Is It A Conspiracy?
The Swine Flue outbreak could be serious - very serious. On the other hand what happened to the AIDS epidemic that predictions of the 1980s said would kill us all by now? In the mid eighties we had allegedly respectable scientists predicting the virus would mutate into something airborne and millions would die in every nation around the world. In reality the virus is transmitted from blood to blood so it is quite difficult to get infected by regular plain vanilla man - woman sexual activity. The threat was hyped out of all proportion.

Similarly in the BSE scare which predictedeating dodgy meat would cause everybody's brain to rot, it turned out the threat was greatly overstated.

So how real is the danger of Swine Flu killing millions as the 1918 pandemic did? Not great for people in the developed world actually. As the scare stories spread fear and panic the first thing worried people should ask themselves is the question Marcus Tullius Cicero asked the Roman senate 2000 years ago. Cui Bono? Who benefits.

Governments can always benefit from spreading fear and panic of course. It is much easier to force through new laws stripping away human rights and civil liberties and extending government control of individuals when a universal threat can be used to bully people into compliance. And then of course the vaccine manufacturers are rubbing their hands as little pound, dollar and euro signs illuminate their eyes. We must not forget that the world has changed radically since 1918. The pandemic of that year took place in the aftermath of the Great War. There were food shortages and millions of displaced people were living in unhealthy conditions. Medicine was quite primitive, distribution of information was poor and co-ordinated planning was virtually non existent. It was a different world. Have us ordinary punters much to worry about this time? As with all these events the biggest killers will be poverty and ignorance. A good balanced diet to boost the immune system, attention to basic hygiene and obtaining as much information as possibe are your best protection. Do not believe any claims that if we all do as we are told and never question authority all illness can be abolished by universal vaccinations. The flu vaccine falls a long way short of 100% effectiveness. And be constantly vilgilant for control freak politicians sneaking some nasty new laws though under the shadow of the scare. Fear and panic are their best weapons.

First they came for the ciggies and I did not speak out.
Then they came for the booze and I did not speak out.
Then they came for the pizzas and the burgers and the pies and pastas.
Who will speak out for me.
A parody there of Martin Neimoller's poem describing how the Nazi's got away with their crimes against humanity.

Today I read in one of the more responsible Sunday Papers an article calling for a Eurpoean Obesity Day. The author tried to inflate the "obesity crisis" by quoting the statistic of 68.5 million people in Europe being obese. It is a fraudulent statistic of course, like so many peddled by control freak governments and their tame "scientific advisors." The measure of obesity is the Body Mass Index and oversimplified measure of height against wheight that takes no account of the ration of muscle to fat tissue in an individual's body. In fact the statistic takes no account of individuals. Modern governments do not care much for individuals, they like compliant, conformist populations that will meekly accept the simplistic, one size fits all, quick fix solutions dreamed up by "scientists." The Daily Stirrer will deal with this issue at length soon, for now remember the advice Brian gave to the Multitude in monty Python's Life Of Brian. "You are all individuals. Don't let anybody tell you how to live your life"

Remember, the diversity , unpredictability and variety of human beings with all their faults, flaws, idiosyncracies and eccentricities is what makes it so great to be human. Don't give it up to suit the schemes of control freak meritocrats.

We must never surrender to the tyranny of statistics.

It Will Take More Than A Million Voices To Make Brown Listen. At Order - Order today Parliamentary Blogger Guido Fawkes is pushing a petition to Downing Street calling on this hopeless Prime minister, surely the worst we have had since Tony Blair, and his contemptible government to go immediately.

It will do no good of course. The entire electorate are screaming for Brown to resign before he makes the situation any worse than he already has, but like all politicians once in power he became deaf to the voice of the people. Still, a petition will do no harm and it might help us feel a little less helpless so get yourselves over to Guido's blog now and sign up. here's the LINK again.

Next week if Brown is still in power by Thursday The Daily Stirrer will call upon the populace to take up their pitchforks and cudgels and march on London.

Over at Tim Worstall's blog http://timworstall.com/2009/04/19/vince-cable-sorts-out-the-economy/ a while ago I noticed a post about Vince Cable's ideas to sort out the economic mess. Now some readers may have noticed I am quite an admirer of Vince and his real world approach to economics. Some have also commented that The Daily Stirrer, in its former disguise as Little Nicky Machiavelli does not often have a go at the Tories.

The Labour Party itself is mostly to blame for that. Being such an incompetent set of tossers they have been so focused on fucking up absolutely everything (one suspects a touch of OCD, some obsessively clean their house or wash their hands, some obsessively pull out their hair or hoard rubbish until their house is full, Labour politicians obsessively pursue failed ideologies and unrealistic goals to the point of self destruction. This has enabled the Conservatives to keep a very low profile and give bloggers little to snipe at while the Camergoons have presented themselves as the cuddly party.

So my comforting brush with old fashioned Tory obnoxiousness and economic illiteracy on a scale that made even Margaret Thatcher look almost intelligent came on a comment referring to Vince Cable's assertion that the first step towards getting things back on track was to build affordable housing and in the current climate that means social housing... The Judgement On Vaccines Is In - Jim Carrey
After months of delays and legalistic jiggery pokery the US court hearing test cases on the safety of MMR vaccine, very rapidly after the authoritarian, more big business friendly than Bush, one-hundred-and-fifty percent in favour of all government meddling in private lives Obama administration the court had produced its big pharma friendly decision.

After the decision of the court early in the case that in such cases the burden of proof fell not on the complainant but on the defence in the end the judges went back on that and tired the old line paid for by big pharma that it had not been scientifically proved there was a link between the vaccine and the onset of autism.

In an article for Huffington Post comedian and parent Jim Carrey says:
With vaccines being the fastest growing division of the pharmaceutical industry, isn't it possible that profits may play a part in the decision-making? That the vaccine program is becoming more of a profit engine than a means of prevention? In a world left reeling from the catastrophic effects of greed, mismanagement and corporate insensitivity, is it so absurd for us to wonder why American children are being given twice as many vaccines on average, compared to the top 30 first world countries?

In another damning indictment of big pharma on August 21, 2000 a congressional investigation's report titled, "Conflicts in Vaccine Policy," stated:
It has become clear over the course of this investigation that the VRBPAC and the ACIP [the two main advisory boards that determine the vaccine schedule] are dominated by individuals with close working relationships with the vaccine producers. This was never the intent of the Federal Advisory Committee Act, which requires that a diversity of views be represented on advisory committees. Yet still the courts and governments in the developed nations continue to let big pharma hide the truth about their toxic products and their control freak plans to coerce governments into making vaccines compulsory behind legal technicalities and academic obfuscation. The Race To Civil Unrest
The election of Barack Obama to the US Presidency was bound to have a negative effect on race relation all around the developed world, not just in the USA. Here The Daily Stirrer which brings you the best, most controversial opinion and comment on the web takes issue with a writer who complains that developed nations are not doing enough to preserve the cultural differences of minorities while helping them integrate. The complaint is a case of wanting to have your cake and eat it, a classic position of the race industry and the politically correct thought police.

Obama Homeless And Hungry?

Just a few weeks ago as he tried to push on of his £trillion spendfests through the US Congress barack Obama was making optimistic speeches about the fundamental soundness off the US economy and telling a domestic audience the worst of the slump was over and the economy would soon return to growth.

Those of us who had long suspected the Dude President was an economic illiterate sniggered.

A little later, while attempting to persuade the Chinese Government to bail America out by buying most of the $trillion worth of US government bonds the Obama administration plsnned to sell off, barry was making speeches to an international audience saying the sulmp had botomed out, the economy had turned the corner and was well on the way to recovery.

The sniggers turned to belly laughs

Now as the likely effects of his spending pledges on a rapidly contracting economy become apparent Obama is telling government departments to slash their budgets in order to prevent the government going bankrupt. Sound more like "Sare some change" than "hope and change."

Full English Or Overpriced Virgin?

The cause of the week is The Wrexham and Shropshire Railway. This tiny company tht runs four trains a day from London's Marylebone via Shrewsbury to Wrexham is taking on the incompetent might of Richard Banson's Virgin Trains by providing a comfortable journey on clean trains between London, Shopshire and Noth Wales. It's unique selling point however is not quaintness, a relaxed atmosphere or the full English breakfast that is included in the price. The Wrexham and Shropshire is kicking the crap out of Virgin on fares and quality of service. A standard second class return ticket from Shrewsbury to London with no restrictions on travel times costs about a quarter of the Virgin fare. The Wrexham and Shropshire Railway That is probably a cue the Labour Government, subservient to big business as always, to pile in and do everything in its power to help Virgin crush its much smaller rival.

The Worst Hopeover Ever Barack Obama fan Naomi Klein writes of the hopeover, the hangover from the hope and change binge that is setting in across the USA os Obama reveals day by day there will be little difference in the way he governs from the way George Bush or bill Clinton governed.

Naomi Klein regrets binging on hope and change as she suffers a monumental "hopeover"

Well this journal, then Little Nicky Machiavelli's Blog. did warn that a celebrity politician can only turn out to be as vacuous as the celebrities who live out their sad, emotionally needful lives on the pages of OK Magazine.

Labour Minister Says Children Are Best Behaved Ever
We are contantly gobsmacked by the government' apparent assumption that we are all complete imbeclies as evidence in statements backed up by bogus statistics like this one from the Education Minister Ed Balls:

Ed Balls said today that standards of behaviour in schools were the "best ever on record". I am waiting to hear from the Department for Children, Schools and Families what he bases that rather surprising assertion on.

I sometimes wonder just how out of touch with reality these people are. If we were stupid enough to believe that we would all be in politics picking up big fat salaries for doing very little.

Fruitcakes and Financial Crises

Fruitcakes Can be Good For You
13 April 2009

http://www.guardian.co.uk/commentisfree/2009/apr/13/income-tax-ukip Nigel Farage, leader of the UK Independence Party presents a new policy initiative he thinks will help his party break through the two party dominace of government. Ukip's policy to reduce tax on low wages, he claims, has been taken up by Oxfam and other poverty relief agencies. Who are the fruitcakes and loonies now? asks Farage, referrring to his party,'s image as a bunch of looney Little Englanders.

He is quite right, cutting tax for the low waged is a damn good idea. Unfortunately the Liberal Democrats thought of it first, around twenty years ago. And it didn't help them break the two party system thanks to the prevailing attitude among a majority of the low waged that compels them to vote for a dog turd if it is wearing a Labour rosette.

13 April 2009

is the argument central to this article. Financial turmoil helps populists such as Dutch extremist Geert Wilders who was recently barred from entering Britain because of his rather strident views on Islam. To beat such people we must come clean about how we got in the current economic mess the writers here say. It could be a good point but they back it up not with coming clean but a lot of politically correct hogwash about the evils of capitalism.

The banks and financial institutions must shoulder a bundle of blame as big as the bundles of dodgy debt they traded in such a cavalier manner but an even bigger culprit was the unchecked growth of government spending over the part thirty years.

What we need is for somebody to please explain how it makes any economic sense to make a Private / Public Partnership scheme of a £30million project to refurbish a hospital thus allowing the private contractor to tear down the hospital unit, build new and rent the new hospital back to the government as a managed facility for £30million a year (minimum contract length - ten years.)

When we have politicians willing to ask questions like that and with smart enough built - in bullshit detectors to cut through all the meritocratic waffle we might get somewhere.

Vaccine Hysteria or Healthy Scepticism

Since the death of Big Brother "celebrity" Jade Goody there has been a lot of noise from the health science lobby and those people who know what is good for us all for the compulsory vaccination of all girls at puberty against the HPV virus.

The pro vaccine gang, all the usual suspects from those who believe we can abolish illness if only we will surrender the ability to think for ourselves to those whose motivations perhaps stem from more cynical goals.

Now in addition to demands for compulsory vaccination of girls there is even rising pressure for the vaccine to be given to boys who cannot be affected by the HP Virus which causes 70% of cervical cancers according to official figures (boys don't have a cervix) but can be carriers.
