Failed Immigration Policy Threatens Press Freedom In Sweden
Jonathan Lundqvist, chairman of the Swedish section of Reporters without Borders, promoting freedom of press, believes that Sweden ranks among the countries with the highest level of press freedom, but must nonetheless work to protect journalists from oppression and attacks.
"We prefer to talk about repression of free journalism abroad than at home," Jonathan Lundqvist said while commenting on the attack on the Australian television team in the Stockholm district of Rinkeby as well as threats against journalists involved in the so-called alternative media.
"It is easy to give good advice from a distance. We, who monitor press freedom, often take it for granted here at home," Lundqvist was quoted as saying by the independent web newspaper Avpixlat, which is by many of the Swedish mainstream media labelled as a "hate site".
According to Lundqvist, Reporters without Borders have not until now taken in earnest threats against journalists and photographers representing alternative, non-government-media.
"We are quite unaccustomed to dealing with problems of this kind in Sweden. Often it is mainstream journalists who become subjected to threats from organized crime and the like," stressed Lundqvist. A third of Swedish journalists have experienced threats of violence or violence, according to a survey by the Swedish Association of Journalist.
Regarding alternative media in Sweden, the threat may well come from violent leftists, as was the case with the independent journalist Chang Frick of Nyheter Idag, who was subjected to a violent attack in August 2015.
The issue of journalists' safety in Sweden surfaced last month, as the Australian news crew was attacked by migrants in the Stockholm district of Rinkeby, dubbed, among other, "Stockholm's own Islamic enclave" and "Somaliland". The narrator and the cameraman of the program 60 Minutes Australia were reported as injured after being accosted by Somalian migrants. As of December 2014, roughly 90 percent of Rinkeby's population had a first- or second-generation immigrant background.
"It would be unfortunate if the areas we need to know most about were inaccessible to the media. Hereby you miss an important part of monitoring, as a result of which dialogue fails," said Lundqvist.
Nevertheless, Lundqvist admitted that his organization was lacking a full overview of the threats directed against the columnist and writer Ingrid Carlqvist of the Islam-critical website Dispatch International. Another tender area for the freedom of journalism in Sweden was the figure behind the pseudonym of Julia Caesar, an established far right regime-critic and former contributor to Dagens Nyheter, whose true identity had been revealed by the Swedish tabloid Expressen against her will.
White Female Journalist Stoned While Trying To Film In Swedish Muslim No Go Zone
Swedish journalist Valentina Xhaferi BEFORE she was stoned by Muslim immigrant thugs for entering a Sharial Law zone in Sweden
A Swedish journalist attempting to make a movie about the residents of a Muslim no go zone in Sweden and their habit of throwing stones at police has herself been attacked and had stones thrown at her as she attempted to film. Members of the socialist government and the brainwashed, politically correct idiots who support them keep insisting such places do not exist. But then to Marxism the truth was always an irrelevance, all that matters is advancing the agenda.
“They thought we crossed the limit and that we were standing on their land,” journalist Valentina told Swedish newspaper Expressen.
Ms Xhaferi planned on investigating police reports that any officer trying to patrol the Stockholm district of Tensta – with its foreign born population now over 70 per cent – would be pelted with rocks. She wanted to get behind the black headlines and find out what was really troubling the poor residents.
So along with a cameraman, she traveled into the suburb to film their report last week. They had set up their recording equipment in a small, central square, and spoken to a man who had agreed to be interviewed.
But as they waited, another man, who appeared to be upset, approach to ask why they were filming. He went away only to return with his gang.
“Then he became very, very angry and said he’ll get stones and show us what stoning is. When I saw that he was armed with a stone I just wanted to get out of there,” said Ms Xhaferi.
“It was impossible to calm them down. I pulled back and tried to calm down everyone, while trying to get my colleague and myself out of there. I become very anxious and had a feeling that the situation was going to explode. That’s when the guys started throwing stones at us.”
A week later they went back to record the report in the company of policemen. “I do not take it personally, but I think it’s really bloody bad not to be able to make a recording in a public place. That we must be protected by police,” she said. Police estimate that there are around 55 such areas in Sweden similar to the Tensta no go zone, which was the site of a riot in 2012, and which boasts a 95-100 per cent foreign origin rate for children living there. At this point more three men appeared from a subway and demanded to know what they were doing. The camera was recording, and captured the moment the men kicked the equipment to the floor, shouted insults at Ms. Xhaferi and poured coffee on the cameraman before running off.
And our 'friends' on the political 'left (i.e. somewhat to the right of Hitler) tell us we should tolerste these barbaric shits and their quaint customes like raping white women because impure women deserve to be raped, and stoning people for doing their job.

British blood in Libya - Obama's price for 'stay' campaign support?
Raedwald
There's a very funny smell hanging around Cameron, Obama, Libya and the 'stay' campaign right now. Firstly, the US President, whose every public word is guarded by a phalanx of PR experts, blames Cameron for leaving business unfinished in Libya. Then it's revealed that Obama will strongly support the 'stay' campaign. And now the leaks are starting that Obama wants boots on the ground in Libya before the end of his presidential term - that means this year. And Cameron has nothing left to lose.
So one has to wonder if Cameron, like Blair, has already promised the US President that UK troops will fight in Libya alongside a US contingent - and whether Obama's support for the 'stay' campaign is the price for this.
We won't know, of course, until Cameron feels compelled to tell the House of 'urgent' matters that have just arisen regarding Libya and seeking support for an expeditionary force. No doubt the Cabinet Secretary is already writing the mandatory Dodgy Dossier. Or perhaps a Libyan 'incident' is already being contrived or allowed to develop.
We've got nine months of 2016 left to find out.
