Second Debt Crisis In European Markets

European Debt Markets Face Second Credit Crisis

European debt markets could be hit by a second credit crisis within months as fears grow over the huge volume of new bonds that must be sold by governments and banks in 2011.

Banks alone must refinance about €400bn (Ł343bn) of debt in the first half of the year, but add in the more than €500bn European governments must replace over the same period, as well as further hundreds of billions of euros of mortgage-backed debt

Dumbing Down Has Destroyed Respect For Academics

Academic inflation is as dangerous to any country as its financial equivalent. When university degrees no longer represent a genuine assessment of a graduate’s abilities, the whole intellectual currency is debased. In Britain, as we report today, this insidious process has reached an unacceptable level. A far higher proportion of graduates is being awarded first-class degrees and upper seconds than was ...

A story based on the latest official education statistics (and as usual we recommend you be wary of all statistics) proves something The Daily Stirrer and other common sense driven members of the new media corps have been telling the world for some time. Government's obsession with using statistics to prove educational standards are rising is just a front to cover up the politicisation of the academic community. It starts in primary school and goes right through to higher education.

One of the main drivers of grade inflation in the adademic world is money. Constantly improving results are required for schools, colleges and universities, particularly all the University of Usedtobeapoly establishments that have sprung up everywhere, to secure their funding from government coffers.

With respect for teachers and the politically correct curriculum they are forced to teach at an all time low and idiotic rules preventing the imposition of discipline and order in the classroom pupils are just not learning. Thus they are arriving at University with excellent qualifications on paper but in need of remedial educatiuon in basic numeracy and literacy.

Politics has no place in education but to the left everything is politics and the left has been allowed to hi - jack the education.

The Daily Stirrer has always agreed that climate changes poses a lot of problems for the short term and long term future, which rather makes fools of those infantile science worshippers who have called us 'climate deniers'. We have however always said that to reduce this vastly complex issue and the even more vastly complex processes at work in the atmosphere that conrol the planet's various climates to one (fairly insignifican) factor, a small increase measured in parts per million in carbon dioxide in the atmosphere is a reductionist approach that not only totally fails to understand the problem but also reveals those gobshites who love to call themselves 'scientists' to be semi - autistic, OCD suffering cretins whose minds run on railway tracks.

After a well earned break and a dearth of news that we can comment on we are back

The Swine Flu Scam revisited

As the swine flu pandemic that did not happen last year refuses to happen again this year the fear and panic industry has gone into overdrive over a handful of serious cases of flu that might or might not be the notoriously elusive H1N1 variant.

Like Ponzi schemes, health scares resurface with amazing regularity.

Remember how last year the government and their buddies the Pharmaceutical industry tried to spread fear and panic by telling us Swine Flu was coming and it would be worse than the Black Plague.

And it did not come.

A few people were quite seriously ill with a new variant of the Influenza virus but to call the number of serious cases a pandemic was like alling a smelly fart a weapon of mass destruction.

Bureaucrats never ease up in their efforts to make us all so fearful and dependent we will never again question authority and governments, having invested ŁŁŁmillions is buying stocks of vaccine (that did not work against the Swine Flu variant) and on public information campaigns that failed to scare us all into running off and getting the vaccine are now trying to save face and recoup some of their investment by spreading fear and panic again.

And the leftie scumbags of mainstream media are helping them.

One story featured on BBC and ITN North West News linked one person is Blackburn who was seriously ill with flu (because it was initially misdiagnosed as a heavy cold) with the fact that over 500 people had been treated by Blackburn Royal Hospital over the Christmas weekend. The suggestion was that all five hundred had turned up complaining of Swine Flu.

A bit of digging by The Daily Stirrer revealed that the majority of the 500 had been treated for snow and ice related injuries and the effects of over indulgence. In fact no more people than usual for the time of year had turned up with flu symptoms and most of those were found to be suffering nothing worse than heavy colds.

Our source, a healthcare professional at Blackburn Hospital obviously cannot be named.

But here, from a story in The Guardian is the view of another healthcare professional in a different part of the country:

Flu Outbreak Has Not Peaked
... Dr Winter, a consultant in intensive care medicine at the Queen's Medical Centre in Nottingham, said there were empty critical care beds in the network that his hospital belonged to, which covers Nottinghamshire, Lincolnshire, Derbyshire and Burton-on-Trent. "I wouldn't over-egg this," he added. "Swine flu is just another form of seasonal flu, and we usually get 3,000 deaths a year from seasonal flu. Swine flu is just one of the three strains [of flu] circulating." ...

So that puts the scare stories into perspective a bit. Keep calm and carry on.

Green Energy Will Send Domestic Bills Sky High
from The Daily Telegraph
Chris Huhne, the Energy Secretary, will outline government plans today to encourage energy companies to develop low-carbon power plants, including nuclear power stations and wind farms.

Energy analysts say the Coalition's plans will put Britain on course for a "high cost, low carbon" electricity market where consumers pay the price for environmentally friendly generating technology.

Energy companies say that the shift will require them to invest more than Ł200 billion in new power stations and networks over the next 20 years.

Green Energy Will Raise Energy Bills By Ł500 a year

Xavier Connolly Comments: We told you so. And what compounds the stupidity of politicians and the mendacity of scientists is they are going to impose these costs on already hard pressed taxpayers for the sake of an experiment that has failed catastrophically in the two developed nations to have implemented it. 100,000 Jobs Will Be Lost Over Christmas
by Ian R. Thorpe

The coalition’s deficit reduction plans will cause local authorities, police forces and other public services to cut 100,000 jobd by early next year, it was claimed. Councils must have their austerity budgets in place by March 31 but are required to give 90 days’ notice of job cuts, meaning posts to be cut in April must be announced before New Year’s Day.

It is believed 140 councils have not yet presented their full plans for deficit reduction measures, meaning the news could be broken to workers over the Christmas holidays, news reports are suggesting.

Deep cuts to public service budgets to be announced this week along with the approaching end of the financial year are likely to result in further job losses as the year goes on. There are some signs of recovery in the private sector but nothing of the scale that could soak up the job losses in the public sector. read detailed report on public service jobs cuts in The Guardian

Mr Huhne's officials dispute that figure and insist that the direct costs of specific government policies will be much lower. A new consultation will push energy companies into investing billions of pounds in technology, costs that companies say will be passed on to consumers. A new tax could be levied on fossil fuels such as coal and gas, making them more expensive relative to low-carbon sources of energy such as nuclear and wind power. Mr Huhne will tell MPs that the reforms will wean Britain off imported gas, and curb inevitable price rises, meaning household bills will ultimately be lower than they would have been otherwise. Writing in the Business section of The Daily Telegraph today, Mr Huhne hails his plans as the most far-reaching reform of the electricity market since privatisation in the 1980s. "These reforms can unlock private investment on an unprecedented scale, and ensure that we undergo the low-carbon electricity revolution at the lowest possible cost to consumers," he writes. David Porter, chief executive of the Association of Electricity Producers, said ministers and companies needed to be honest and admit that the shift towards low-carbon generation would cost households more. "The huge cost of doing this will push up customers' bills. Everyone involved has to be candid about that," Mr Porter said. "Companies have got to invest a lot of money and that will find its way to people's bills, although every effort will be made to minimise that." According to the website Energyhelpline.com, the average household is facing record winter fuel bills of around Ł630 because of recent energy price rises and the early arrival of winter. Low income families were dealt another blow when heating grants were suspended. The Ł345 million budget has been quickly eaten up because of the cold snap. Under European Union targets, Britain is obliged to increase the share of energy from renewable sources from 3 per cent to 15 per cent.Today, Mr Huhne will signal moves towards taxing energy firms on the carbon dioxide they emit by burning fossil fuels such as coal and gas. Creating a "floor price" for carbon is intended to assure investors that costly new nuclear power stations – which produce little carbon – will be profitable over the coming decades. But energy companies are likely to pass on the increased cost of carbon to customers. "The Government and the industry will want to be sure that bills don't rise by any more than they have to, so the cost-effectiveness of whatever changes are made will be vitally important," Mr Porter said. He added that consumers will not easily accept Mr Huhne's argument that his measures will mean price rises are smaller than might otherwise have been the case. He said: “That’s going to be a very hard sell, because for many consumers, all they are going to notice is that their bills are going up.” To encourage investors to put money into wind and wave farms, Mr Huhne will announce a guaranteed price for electricity. He will also announce a “capacity payment” to generators, giving them money for maintaining power stations that are not generating electricity. The measure is meant to ensure back-up generating capacity to deal with surges in demand like the recent cold snap. Many of Mr Huhne’s fellow Lib Dems oppose nuclear power and he has insisted that there will be “no specific subsidy” for new nuclear plants, which each cost around Ł4 billion to build. But the carbon price may be seen as a disguised subsidy for existing nuclear plants, since it will allow their owners to sell electricity much more cheaply than power produced by fossil fuel plants. The Department of Energy and Climate Change said last night that electricity prices would rise, but insisted that the Coalition plans would deliver the best deal for consumers. A spokesman said: “If we don’t reform the market now we’ll all pay more than we need to in the long run, and risk not having the low carbon and secure supply we need.”

UK Unemployment Up Again
Unemployment in the UK increased by 35,000 in the three months to October to 2.5 million, the Office for National Statistics (ONS) has said. It was first time that the jobless measure has risen for six months.

The increase pushed the unemployment rate up to 7.9%, a higher rate than analysts had expected. However, the number of people claiming the Jobseeker's Allowance in November fell fractionally, by 1,200 to 1.46 million, the ONS said. The pound dropped half a cent on the news, to $1.573. The data could also heighten the policy dilemma for the Bank of England, coming only a day after figures showed consumer price inflation had risen
UK Unemployment Rises

The important point to not here is that while we see unemployment rising the numbers claiming unemployment benefit has fallen.
What this means is more people are exhausting their two years jobseekers allowance and are being thrown on the income support scrapheap. This disguises the true unemployment figure which is just to horrifying to publish.

Government Spending Cuts Hit NHS
from BBC News:
Government spending plans will test the NHS and social services in England to the limit, according to a report by the Commons Health Select Committee.
The MPs say the plans assume efficiency savings on a scale never before seen in the NHS, or in other countries. Steven Dorrell, who chairs the committee, said the NHS had to save 4% a year for four years - a "huge ask". But Liberal Democrat Health Minister Paul Burstow said NHS staff were already making savings NHS Stretched By Cuts
John de Roe says: This story looks shocking at first glance and the decicit spending addicts of Labour and the left of the Liberal Democrats are wringing their hands and predicting public services Armageeddon as the evil Tories and their Lib Dem lackey lay waste to the welfare state. Look a tad more closely however and you see the outcry about cuts to front line services is because managers responsible for making budget reductions are protecting their own bureaucratic empires.

Instead of saving the jobs of nurses, junior doctors and medical technicians they are saving the non jobs of bean counters, paper shufflers and box tickers.

If the coalition are serious about saving the NHS and preserving the usually excellent levels of clinical care priovided they will make sure the administartive and bureaucratic non jobs bear the brunt of cuts and next they will boot out all the pseudo-science, the psychotherapists, counsellors, the anti smoking officers, and alcolhol awareness advisers, the five a day nazis and all the rest of the people who make a nice living out of giving us advice that is neither wanted nor needed.

I don't have a lot of confidence in the coalition's chances of success but at least they are making the right noises unlike the previous loot who threw mountains of money at the health and education systems and manasged to make both worse instead of better.

American Concerns About British Muslims

US concerns that the UK was struggling to cope with home-grown extremism have been revealed in new Wikileaks cables.

One cable said the British government made "little progress" in engaging with the UK's Muslim community after the 7 July 2005 terror attacks in London.

The communication was delivered to Washington from the American embassy in London in August 2006.

The cable said tensions continued, with some British Muslims blaming UK foreign policy for inciting extremism.

US concerns about British Muslim Extremists

Ed Butt says: Americans are concerned? Do they think we're not concerned?

For thirteen years we had a government that pandered to Muslim extremists and allowed the civil service to be infiltrated and hijacked by stupid, politically correct lefties who think history began at the Summer of Love in 1967 and that appeasement works. They have failed to enforce immigration laws, given in to unreasonable demands and accused anybody who queied their Islamophiliac policies of racism.

Only yesterday we saw lefties demanding an American extremists preacher, Pastor Terry Jones, be banned from entering Britain. Make no mistake, Jones is a nasty piece of work but the same lefties kicked up a right old fuss when people said equally odious Muslim preachers whose message was a far more direct incitement to extremists to commit atrocities against western communities.

But as we have said before there's no bigger hypocrite than a leftie hypocrite.

by Xavier Connolly
from BBC News:

Vince Cable has said the Lib Dems are "united" despite Thursday's rebellion over the rise in student tuition fees in England.
The business secretary, who drew up the plans to raise the maximum fee level to Ł9,000, told the BBC the coalition would be "stronger for the experience".
The government's majority was slashed as 21 Lib Dem MPs voted against the plans and five abstained.

Tuition Fees Vote - End Of The Beginning For Coalition Government

The tuition fees row is being hailed by blinkered lefties as the end of the coalition. It is nothing of the kind of course, it is the beginning of the period in which the Liberal Democrats will grow up and show that they understand the difference between being in government with all the responsibility that brings along with the impossible task of trying to please everybody all the time and the realisation that the real world is not a nice place and cannot be made so by the passing of well intentioned resolutions.

The left of the party will not be able to accept this of course, they are driven by ideology. Such people will drift off into the political wilderness or into the Labour Party which will eventually take them to the same place.

Those Liberal Democrats who clenched their teeth and voted for the increase in University tuition fees however have learned an important lesson in politics.

The position regarding tuition fees is thus: Under the Labour government from 1997 to 2010 and the Conservative governments of John Major and Margaret Thatcher there was such a rapid expansion of the higher education industry (it can be described no other way now as Universities are run for profit by empire builders and bureaucrats) that the number of places in University education far exceeds the number of degree level graduates society can use.

Last time one of our team mentioned this very important detail somebody smugly commented that education is not only about preparation for the workplace. Indeed it is not, but it is not the people who are prepared to face the reality that the financial burden of putting almost half of all school leavers through three years on a production line in a degree factory, building and maintaining the places where they must study and paying people to teach them, run the administrative functions, clean the premises and carry out all the ancillary tasks is too great for the economy to bear.

This is the reality behind the increase in tuition fees. The policy is hopelessly wrong and muddleheaded. Universities in the eyes of too many in the higher education industry have become a sanctum sanctorum of the religion of higher education. There is no reason why local colleges, Huddersfield, Crewe, Bolton for example, should become universities and award their own degrees. This upgrade to university status is really more about egos than education. There is talk of a University of East Lancashire that would incorporate the colleges of Blackburn, Burnley, Accrington, Rossendale and Pendle. Such a move might be good for the egos of senior staff but would do a disservice to the area.

In the current system the academies serve as sixth form college, offer foundation courses in vocational studies, provide facilities for learning as a recreational activity and offer degree courses by distance learning for degrees issued by Lancaster, Liverpool and Manchester Universities. Many of the people who benefit from that are mature students with families, people who do not want to get away from home for a three year booze and shagfest.

Though past retirement age I still lecture part time to degree level engineering students at a college some miles away. When colleagues from the main faculty visit they often remark how much more committed the students are than those who are on their grant funded three year holiday.

With clear thinking from members of the coalition government this fiasco can be turned into something good. We need to stop upgrading local colleges to third rate universities and support degree courses in local colleges where people can live at home while studying for degrees from first rate universities or more appropriate vocational qualifications for their planned career. Meanwhile the recreational learners continue to be served.

The commenter I mentioned was quite right to say that education is not about preparing for the workplace but entirely wrong in defending the current university system because those degree factories are precisely where education has been reduced from a noble pursuit to a tawdry commercial activity.

Annuity Rip Off Will Continue Say Insurers

by John de Roe

from Daily Telegraph:

Some of Britain’s biggest insurers – including Pearl, Scottish Mutual, and Legal & General – are dragging their feet on rule changes announced by the Chancellor in June, intended to give older savers more choice about how to enjoy their pensions. George Osborne promised to scrap rules which forced savers to transfer at least three quarters of their pension savings to an insurance company before the General Election and honoured that commitment in his Emergency Budget.

This introduced interim measures, easing the old requirement that savers had to buy an annuity or guaranteed income for life before ...
read full story:Insurers Hang On To Pensioners Cash

The pensions scam was one of the main reasons I left my job in banking at the age of 52 for a position in local government. I retire next year and fortunately have a final salary pension from both those careers to rely on. The private pensions industry was always a fraud. In return for a tax break on contributions people had to contract to hand over all their savings to an insurance firm at an appointed time. They would then receive interest on the "pension pot" until both they and their joint beneficiary (if any) died. At that point the capital in the annuity scheme did not revert to the investors estate but passed to the annuity provider.

Nice work if you can get it.

When I first joined the staff of Williams Deacons bank in the mid 1960s insurance salesmen were referred to as graveyard bookies. The kind of life policies and endowments sold them were, it was said, simply a bet that the insured's life would continue until contributions and interest were greater than the sum payable on death.

If that was so then the annuity business is a graveyard casino. The game is loaded in favour of the house and those who gamble against it cannot hope to win, only to stay in the game as long as possible. Here's how it works: The investor saves all their life to build up capital. On maturity the capital with interest must be used to purchase an annuity. From here on the investor gets interest but cannot touch the capital. As mentioned above when the investor or named beneficiary (usually spouse) dies the lump sum is forfeit to the annuity provider. So as long as you survive you are getting some return for the saving built up over a lifetime but only interest. Die shortly after retirement and you lose. Survive to a hundred years old and you can't win. The house wins every time because all you ever get is the interest (less management fees) that is yours anyway.

This was not by any means the worst fraud perpetrated by the banking and finance industry in the wake of Margaret Thatcher's flagship deregulation policy but it was one which alienated many people from the financial services sector. So many people saw through it and decided to keep their money in a savings account or an ISA that we now have the government quaking in terror as the prospective cost of old age.

From the point of view of myself and colleagues of my generation in banking and finance the era of legalised fraud was a betrayal. We were reduced to salesmen with targets to hit. Most had to sell mortgages, pensions, loans, investment plans all of which anyone who understood the industry could see had no chance of delivering the kind of returns being promised.

The worst effect however was the destruction of the trust that existed between the banks and their customers. Financial institutions are so big and so remote now that to staff in their call centres, customers are just disembodied voices to be fobbed off as quickly as possible, if the customer is lucky enough to be connected to a human being and not dealt with entirely by a computer. When a business is so far removed from the reality in which their customers live is it any wonder they are prepared to pay teams of lawyers to find ways of holding on to their graveyard casino business?

Yes, of course they will try to find ways of locking people into annuities. The coalition government's attempt to free the money of pensions savers is laudable but the politicians are seriously deluded if they think they are going to get the better of banks and insurance companies without a long and bitter fight.

Wikileaks Hacktivists Target UK

by Ed Butt.

The 1,500-strong network of online activists has already sabotaged the websites of MasterCard, Visa and the Swedish government with millions of bogus visits. The attacks, termed “Operation Payback”, came after the credit card companies and PayPal, an online payment firm, announced that they would no longer process donations to the anti-secrecy organisation. The group of hackers, called Anonymous, said it would target ... read full story Hackers To Target UK

Who the fuck do these people think they are. Anti - secrecy organizations my arse, WikiLeaks are not anti secrecy, they are anti privacy. So far only one of the leaked documents has told us anything we did not know or could not have guessed had anyone cared enough to think about it. Revealing the locations of sensitive locations is an act of supreme irresponsibility of the kind we have come to expect from the self - aggrandizing, shit sucking, skunk felching sumbags involved with Wikileaks. All those installations are now potential targets for terrorists. All those installations have staff. All those staff have families and friends.

Governments have secrets. Corporations have secrets. Private individuals have secrets. Do I want details of my e - mail exchanges with a certain female publicized so that my wife's friends could read them? Does a guy I know, not a close friend but a friend, want his credit card statements revealing his visits to a massage parlour revealed to his employers or family.

Do we really need to be informed that out of the madia spotlight world leaders express unflattering opinions of each other?

For fuck's sake we're grown up aren't we.

The WikiLeaks team and their supporters the "Hacktivists" are not grown ups. They are arrested adolescents who think it is funny to go a step further than posting a picture of their best mate having a wank on Facebook. The leaked documents are a veritable cuntucopia to their imbecile minds.

We should give them thirty minues to take down their sites, cease and desist from doing things that annoy grown ups and FUCK OFF.

If they don't we should kill them.

Wikileaks War Waged By Hacktivists (Webbyheads and Pointyheads) by Ed Butt.

from BBC News:
A member of the Anonymous group of hackers, which has been targeting firms it sees as being anti-Wikileaks has said the campaign is not over. Speaking on the BBC's Today programme, Coldblood said that "more and more people are downloading the voluntary botnet tool". This signs them up to a so-called botnet, an army of machines that can then launch attacks. Overnight Visa became the latest victim. Its website experienced problems while Mastercard payments were also disrupted. Both were victims of so-called distributed denial-of-service attacks, which bombard websites with requests until ...

Libertarianism is a lifestyle philosophy that demands of those who advocate it a deep sense of responsibility. Webbyheadism is a lifestyle philosophy that demands of those who adopt it minimal skill with information technology, an inflated sense of entitlement and a delusional belief that "because we can," is sufficient justification for any action they undertake no matter how much it harms individuals or businesses. Such people are colloquially known as cunts.

The Daily Stirrer team are libertarians. We believe in personal freedom but know where the line is drawn. The Wikileaks people are a bunch of self aggrandizing twats who have got hold of one of those stupid, acid head notions that the spaced out hippies who were early adopters of the web and now think they invented it Truth: Internetworking technologies were around long before Vint Scurf, Tim Berners Lee, that fuckwit from The Grateful Dead and all the other idiots who cling to the belief that the web will change human nature and transport us all to a digital utopia where everything will be free had bought their first Apple or Commodore PC.

Libertarianism recognizes that people have, among their many human rights, a right to privacy. That goes for politicians too. Our leaders, no matter how much we loathe and detest them, self serving hypocrites that they are, must be able to have private conversations without the fear that a transcript will be posted on the internet. There is no justification for the posting of state documents on public forums as Wikileaks have done. Most of these documents tell us nothing that we did not know or could not guess anyway.

People who believe they can do just what they like when they like regardless of how their actions affect others are not libertarians, they are libertines. The fact that digital technology is involved in their irresponsible self indulgence does not make such behaviour any more acceptable.

This latest action by "supporters of wikileaks" can serve no purpose other than to inconvenience a great number of people. The "hacktivists" as they call themselves are preventing credit card companies and by extension users of credit cards (just about everyone) going about their lawful business in retaliation for those organizations refusing to aid Wilkileaks in the pursuit of their unlawful business.

What we would be interested to know however is how many of the sciencyheads and webbyheads who are now screaming in horror at the action being taken against Wikileaks to prevent further criminal acts were screaming for blood when the Climategate e-mails that so effectively damned the people behind the climate science scam were lawfully distributed after one of the climate scientists had carelessly left them in an directory that could be accessed via the internet?

UK Property Prices Fall

The Daily Stirrer's John De Roe has always warned that the putative recovery in UK house prices was illusory. With real incomes dropping as infaltion which is running at around 5% not the 3% stated in the official figures erodes the value of earnings, job security not improving, entry level prices way beyond the means of most first time buyers and pressure for a rise in interest rates building the news that house prices are on the slide again is no surprise.

What we ought to be speculating about is how far they will eventually fall and how that will affect the futures of those millions of people who were advised to stretch themselves to the limit to buy homes they were promised could "only increase in value."

Are We Becoming Internet Lab Rats

Not for the first time the ever Increasing amount of information thrown at us from the internet via computer and smart phone interfaces hasve been identified as the cause of “bottlenecks” in the brain, preventing any deep thought. This view comes in a new essat from Nicholas Carr, former executive editor of the Harvard Business Review.

Carr's comments will add to the body of evidence that our addiction to technology and the snippets of information it delivers is damaging our ability to apply the power of analytical thought to the tasks and problems we must deal with in life.

Mr Carr told Esquire magazine: “Our gadgets have turned us into hi-tech lab rats, mindlessly pressing levers in the hope of receiving a pellet of social or intellectual nourishment.

“What makes digital messages all the more compelling is their uncertainty. There’s always the possibility that something important is waiting for us in our inbox …[which] overwhelms our knowledge that most online missives are trivial.” E mail has turned us into lab rats

Carr's essay equated the addictive nature of internet feeds and e - mail to the methodology used in training lab rats, mice and other creatures to respond to a stimulus in a programmed way by rewarding them with a snack every time they press a button with their nose in response to a certain sound. This may pass for scientific research in some academies but anyone with the least familiarity with the animal world knows the resourcefulness of most animals when there is a snack to be had has little to do with science.

The net, Carr maintains, works in a similar way. The "new message" icon on a device makes a sound or changes colour, the user responds and is rewarded with an information "snack," a joke, greeting from a friend or acquaintance, a bit of celebrity gossip or something affirming our status as a live human creature. It is very reminiscent of Pavlov's Dogs.

One of the most disturbing things about the internet that seems to have escaped the notice of all but old Information Technology pros like myself is that far from freeing information and putting all human knowledge in the public domain where everybody can access it, internet technology (search technology) as it stands now actually make it very easy for search engine operators to control what information people see.

That being the case then surely most thinking individuals can see the problem with the fact that Search Engine lists prioritise in order: that which pays best; that which is most popular; that which is most recent. Relevance and quality hardly get a look in.

Thus the only people who are going to find information of good quality are those who know enough about the subject they are searching to use search criteria that filter out the dross. While the mass are conditioned to demand the instant gratification of impulses the labratisation of humanity will continue.

Is Aspirin Magic Bullet For Cancer?

In the past few days all media have been running stories og how eeryone should take a daily dose of aspirin tp prevent cancer. The story was fuelled by the usual irrational hysteria, exaggerated claims and hyperbole we have come to expect from health science professionals and those who report and comment on their work in advancing the corporate profits of the pharmaceutical industry.

Now at las we are getting the objective views coming through from people involved in cancer research whose integrity cannot be bought so cheaply.

Aspirin Cancer Magic Bullet by Dr. Karol Sikora for The Daily Telegraph: ... The recent blast of information about the role of aspirin as a cancer preventive raises many issues. Who to give it to, how does it work, what dose, how to prevent side effects and, of course, the bottom line – is it worth it? It is difficult to believe that a substance originally found in the bark of the humble willow tree could cause so much heat. I don't take it myself, so I'm hardly going to be evangelical.

UK Education Falls Behind Third World

We have written many thousands of words on the derogatory effect the politically corrrect thinking of left wing activists was having in the education system. Pupils, particularly primary school pupils, do not need lessons in tolerance, multi cultural studies and gay lifestyles. What is important for them is to get a good grounding in communicating in their native language, mathematics with emphasis on arithmetic NOT theoretical physics and an introduction to history, geography, music, art, the culture of their homeland and elementary science.

Our education system sems more concerned with turning out unthinking little conformist labour voters than preparing children to go on and lead fulfilling adult lives whether they choose to be astrophysicists or agricultural workers. Both, we must remember, are useful members of society but with predicted food shortages due to over population the gricultural workers will probably be the more important in the future.

This inevitably ends up in the oceans after it evaporates from farmland and comes down as rain. The study which will be published in the next issue issue of Geophysics Research Letters – estimates that extraction of ground water for domestic and industrial use accounts for about 25% of sea-level rise around the world, the same as the melting ice from the glaciers outside Greenland and Antarctica.

Another view in The Daily Telegraph: Obama Keystone Cops Administration Needs To Get Serious About Wikileaks

The White House strategy so far has been to largely ignore WikiLeaks, and let Hillary Clinton and the State Department handle the fall-out from the debacle. The president hasn’t even commented publicly on the release of over a quarter of a million US diplomatic cables, despite the immense damage the leak is doing to American … read full story

Obama Keystone Cops Presidency Not Serious About Wikileaks

Once again 'President' Obama is faced with a crisis that potentially threatens his nation and he gives the impression he just can't be arsed with it. Whether it is an environmental disaster such as the Gulf oil spill earlier this year, the real climate crisis threatening much of America (think in terms of H2O rather than CO2) the economic meltdown that shows no signs of abating and will not do so until the Obama administration abandons its loonytoons economic policy of running up vast deficits to fund unemployment payments, pork barrel politics and vote buying and the vanity projects of which the 'President' seems so fond.

How much of a threat the latest WikiLeaks revelations pose we do not know. Obviously to put into the public domain details of strategically sensitive locations give terrorists and those who would harm the United States a lot of helpful information. What use the terrorists are able to make of such information is a lot less certain. The world remembers the horror of 9/11 clearly enough, let us not forget however the latest suicide bomber to try to commit an atrocity by bringing down a fully loaded airliner onto a heavily populated industrial city resulted in the would be bomber setting fire to his own bollocks but doing no further damage.

We cannot rely on the incompetence of their operatives to protect us from the terrorists' destructive intentions however. The American people and the western world look to the leader of the United States, the world's most powerful nation for leadership in negating such threats. That the WikiLeaks scandal was imminent has been public knowledge for several months and yet Barack Hussein Obama, the man who loves to strut the world stage with all the pomp and swagger of an African village tyrant and delude himself he is President of The Entire Universe And Everything Else Besides seems to have no taste for the responsibilities even the relatively lowly jobs of President Of The United States brings to its holder.

I suppose when one is in one's own estimation the only man who can save the planet, worrying about people with no jobs is simply beneath one's dignity. Obama's estimation of himself is propped up by others however. Valerie Jarret, formerly a middle ranked civil servant in the Illinois state government and a long time supporter of Obama and personal friend of his wife Michelle, who was promoted to a senior position for which she is totally unqualified, in the administration recently said of the 'President'; "He has the most brilliant mind of any man I have ever met. Nothing in his life has ever challenged his intellect."

Were that the case one might have expected him to have fixed the leaking oil well in the Gulf in a matter of hours rather than the months it took engineers, solved world poverty, hunger, disease, discovered a viable alternative to carbon based fuels and prevented WikiLeaks revealing state secrets. We at The Daily Stirrer think the case is Obama finds even the most simple tasks challenging so the business of running a huge nation must go so far over his head he is not even aware what is going on.

Barack Hussein Obama's problem is that throughout his life he has never been required to do any of the jobs that were handed to him because of his colour, innate skill at playing the race card and his exploitation of his (largely fictional) antecedents that seem to tick all the politically correct boxes. This every time he has been appointed to a position Barack Hussein Obama has been able to shirk the responsibilities and use his office as a stepping stone towards the next rung on his ascent.

Problem is people who once supported him are starting to notice. Americans have already delivered their verdict in the mid term elections. In Europe people must stop excusing every failure and inadequacy by saying "At least he's not Bush. Not being George W. Bush does not make him a great President or even a mediocre President any more than the colour of his skin does. It simply makes him someone other than George W. Bush. Not being Bush does not preclude being worse than Bush.

Meanwhile Obama cannot repeat his trick of stepping up the ladder to rise above the mess he and the incompetent sycophants with which he surrounds himself have created, leaving somebody else to clean up and put things back in order. Though the shadowy figures who control global finance might dream of a single nation world with one government and one leader, China and India, the emergent economic superpowers, have other ideas.

The Keystone Cops is threatening to turn into "Here Come The Clowns."

Today's News and Comment
Wikileaks and the weather continue to dominate mainstream news but like us you have probably reached the WTF stage with those topics now. Today we take a look at a story that has been confined to the financial pages but should have much greater coverage for what is says about the world we are living in.

The New Gold Rush by Ian R. Thorpe

There is great excitement in financial markets at the moment about the price gold currently trades at, $1400 per ounce. Take this from the Daily Telegraph for example:

Investors and central banks are buying up the yellow metal at unprecedented levels, but will its allure last as fears over the global economy ease?

as gold closes in on a 10th straight year of gains, a debate is raging across the country on whether the longest rally since at least 1920 can last. The price has moved at a pace that would have left even the most ardent of the early diggers breathless. It is up 27pc this year and hit a record high of $1,424 an ounce early in November. Its current US renaissance isn't one that can just be measured on ...

The Gold Rush

While traders are counting the profits they have made from betting on gold and against currencies, particularly the $US and the Euro some people have been paying more attention to the bigger picture and wondering what this new gold rush means for the world economy. The bloated price of billion symbolises primarily a collapse of confidence in the global financial system. That loss of confidence is not hard to understand when banks and investment houses were putting their investors money into unsecured debt derivatives, Ponzi schemes and shares in companies whose only revenue stream came from selling their own shares. The loss of confidence is wider than that however. It is not just savers and investors whose fingers got burned. The business ethic that took hold throughout the 1980 and 90s and lasted until the collapse of 2008 was basically, "promise them the earth, give them a pile of dirt." Governments as well as businesses must shoulder the blame, for three decades they have encouraged business to become more impersonal, more removed from the customer. Business works best when it is personal. The days are long gone when the same person would be manager of the local branch office of a bank for ten or more years and when most of the customers went into their nearest branch regularly and thus knew the manager by sight or to exchange a greeting with in the street. Likewise when we would buy food and be served by a member of the owner's family. Governments and corporate interests have favoured big business over small but those small businesses had a far greater incentive to sere us well and to care about customer satisfaction than a section supervisor in a hyperstore that is part of a multi national chain. How many of us have tried to chase up a late delivery of goods ordered or complain about an item that is faulty or not as advertised only to find ourselves speaking to a customer service clerk in India, Philippines or Brazil whose English is, to say the least, barely adequate for doing business. All of this, and you an add in examples from your own experience I'm sure, has combined to give people the impression that the companies we must do business with, the banks, utility companies, Internet service providers, online and TV shopping channel vendors, the chain stores and franchise restaurants where you seldom see the same staff twice exist not to serve us nor to meet our needs but simply to extract as much money as they can from us for the shoddiest goods, the most offhand levels of service. It is hardly surprising then that people feel uncertain, insecure, that their future is threatened. And when people feel threatened they seek something solid to cling to. In the 1980s and 90s it was property, houses, that was regarded as the failsafe, future proof investment. The old Builiding Society savings mutual (similar to the US Savings and Loan banks) that specialised in mortgages for private homebuyers were said to be "as safe as houses." Unfortunately they were demutualised in the Thatcher government's reforms of the financial system and were quickly swallowed by by the big banks and Insurance giants. With collusion from successive governments the financial institutions that controlled the market in homebuyer finance started the housing bubble. When that failed and stories started to circulate about pension plans and retirement investments that on maturity were worth less than had been paid in over the years, gold although it does not pay any interest started to look attractive. At least so long as the price kept rising money invested in a gold trading fund might keep pace with inflation. That is a very dangerous assumption of course. But what else can people do with their savings? Stuff it under in an old mattress?

US Markets Wobbles As Job Figues Hit Market

America's unemployment rate unexpectedly rose last month, delivering a blow to recent optimism that a recovery in the world's biggest economy was finding some momentum.

The increase in the rate to 9.8pc from 9.6pc in October, will do little to comfort the US consumer, whose spending helped power the global economy until the financial crisis.

Overall the US economy created 39,000 jobs in November, the widely watched report from the Labour Department showed, far shy of the 150,000 predicted by economists on Wall Street.

The report, which followed a string of ...

John De Roe comments:
America has the same systemic problems as Britain but on a larger scale. Successive political leaders have been secuced by the siren song of scientists, academics and bankers into believing that industrial jobs could safely be exported to low labour cost areas such as the far east and the slack could be taken up by increased economic activity in academic and scientific fields.

This type of unravelled thinking was behind New Labour's promised "knowledge economy" which theorised that we could employ enough University educated Britons in financial services and academic research that the demand from these people for a range of "services" ranging from admin assistants and office cleaners to labourers and lap dancers would employ those not suited to working in the cocooned environment of research establishments or the rat race of financial trading.

Did anybody who had managed to rise to a senior position in an elected government truly believe British or American Universities, reliant as they are on the semi literate output of state education systems hijacked by the politically correct thinking of a crypto - Marxist elite can produce anything the academic communities of India and China are not capable of doing for themselves.

It is worth noting that the economies of Germany and France, two major develoed nations that were prepared to tough it out against accusations of protectionism to preserve their own domestic industries, though finding economic conditions difficult are not in such dire straits as the USA and Britain.

There are signs that the British economy while not recovering is stabilising thanks to the coalition government's willingness to abandon the politically correct pussyfooting around of recent decades and face up to the harsh realities of a world in which western supremacy cannot be taken for granted.

In the USA there is no such reassurance for business as the Obama administration, having already, in less than two years, increased the national debt by $3trillion is now embarked on another round of Quantitative Easing.

This will be more disastrous for the US economy than it's first QE programme because this time nobody is buying US treasury bonds and America's gold reserves have been depleted so the government is printing money with which to purchase its own bonds, a process by which they hope to devalue the dollar and thus reduce in real terms the burden of debt.

Unfortunately China, India, Japan and lesser creditors were ahead of Obie's gang of failed academics, seditionists, suck up artists and perverts. They have ben demanding interest on their US bonds holdings be paid in gold for some time now.

This is why the price of gold on commodity markets has topped $1,400 an ounce while oil is moving rapidly towards the predicted $120 per barrel..

It is not just the gold price that is being inflated by the collapse of the American economy. Oil, Minerals, Grain, Sugar and meat prices are all rocketing in commodity markets. All in all, the world, but mostly America and the third world, will pay a huge price for the folly of those people who allowed themselves to be blinded by the colour of President Obama's skin to the incompetence and ineffectuality of this lightweight ideologue.

Britain Going Cashless?
by Xavier Connolly

Last year, for the first time, British shoppers spent more on plastic, credit cards and debit cards than in cash.

Pointy heads are predicting the death of cash of course, just as for decades they have predicted the death of print or the advent of computers that can think for themselves.

The Daily Stirrer sees another trend however as the official figure for cash transactions continues to fall. More economic activity is going on under the radar. It always has been the case in times of high unemplyment and economic hardship and we predict it will go on.

Apart from the obvious advantages of there being no audit trail we predict the dark economy will also be boosted by the increasing frequeny of cases in which the comtempt with which internet operators such as Google and faceook regard our right to personal privacy is demonstrated.

What any of us chooses to spend our hard - earned on is fuck all to do with anybody else.

From cowry shells to contactless payment, the story of how the money system that most of us take for granted developed is varied and fascinating, so here are a few of the landmarks that got us where we stand today.

Wikileaks Taken Offline Wikileaks website disconnected
by Ed Butt

WikiLeaks.org web address no longer functioning after American internet company pulled the plug on the site.

The only surprising thing about this is it did not happen sooner. Wikileaks founder and alleged rapist Julian 'Lasagne' is an ecomaniacal, self aggrandizing twat whose only purpose in leaking these documents was to make himself the centre of attention for the world's media.

The Daily Stirrer is against state secrecy in matters of public interest, we have always found the diplomatic phrase "it is not in the public interest to disclose this information" means it is very much in the public interest that the public should be able to see what is being concealed.

Lines have to be drawn of course because freedom always comes with responsibility. Invasions of personal privacy are not acceptable, it is not helpful to anything to reveal that David Cameron and Barackl Obama hate each other's guts. So long as they can work together when they have to there is no need for them to be best buddies.

It ought never to be revealed if a transcript is found in which George W Bush referred to Gordon Brown as a one eyed Scottish cocksucker or Brown to Bush by saying "People whose eyebrows meet in the middle don't bother me but Bush's eyes meet in the middle, that is worrying.

Similar remarks to those (which I made up BTW) are part and parcel of proivate conversation. They are not intended for public release. If our every utterance is in future to be placed in the public domain human society will be sterilised and be the poorer for it.

Ian R Thorpe comments:
Not long ago I was involved in a discussion thread about Google's contemp for user's right to privacy at The Guardan site. One of the pointy - eared scienceheads who patrols those threads and claims he works in medical research (he's probably a lab assistant) started sneering at my concerns, "So you think Google storing details of your searches threatens you, you are obviously one of those paranoid right wingers who doesn't realise there is a copy of every e-mail you ever sent stored on a server somewhere."

it was the kind of idiotic comment we expect from the science worshipping authoritarian left. As a former Information Technology professional I am well aware of how things are stored although I doubt there is a copy of every e-mail I ever sent, I have been online a long time.

My concern is not about Google or any other Search Engine Operator storing details of my searches, nor even using that data to point targetted ads at me (I'm totally ad blind on the web) but that my serches could, were I naive enough to use certain Google sevices, be seen by total strangers and friends alike.

This concern is based purely on principle. I do not visit porn sites or Nazi sites or even sites for ABBA fans. I just happen to think it is damn all to do with anybody else what I search up on the web. And I don't think Google poses any threat to me personally even if I do refer to them asd The Evil Empire. The price comparison site that initiated this complaint however do it on the basis of a point I have raised many times. Google manipulate search results to seve their own business interests. Now when I search something I want information, I hardly do any shopping on line to I am not interested in any of the products whose makers pay Google most for traffic. I am not interested in the most popular page that features a certain keyword nor the most recently updated. I want the most relevant.

And relevance is getting increasingly hard to find on Google.

As for the sciencehead's claim that like all right wingers I'm anti science and therefore not qualified to comment, I'm an anarchist who spent more than 25 years working in Information Technology so I am more qualified to comment than most people, especially some pointy-eared little berk who kills lab rats for a living.

Ein Volk, Ein Reich, Ein Bureaucratic Dictatorship by John de Roe

This was today's main story.

Germany Faces Dilemma As Spain Falters
The question facing Germany is should German taxpayers alone be burdened with saving the Euro and with it perhaps the future of the E.U. France, though economically stable is not strong enough to stand by the Germans in bailing out not only Ireland and Greece as they already have but Portugal, Spain, Italy and now we har, Belgium.

If the Germans do not step up to the mark it looks like the end of the Eurozone, a result that was entirely predictable to anybody who learned theor economics in the real world rather than in the unrality bubble of the university and political environments. If the Germans can be persuaded by the more Europhiliac of their politicians to support the European project then it will look very much as if Europe is one economic power surrounded by a buffer zone of client states.

That's a long way from:
“France and Great Britain shall no longer be two nations, but one Franco-British union,” read the declaration," the fine words in the first draft plan for a European community of nations.

to:

“All debts of Greece, Cyprus, Italy, Spain, Portugal, and Ireland will be fused immediately with German debt; a single treasury will control spending, and issue euro-bonds for all Euroland,”

In the wake of the Irish bail - out and with Greece in ruins and Portugal, Spain, Italy and Belgium justling for their turn in the financial lifeboat that seems to be where we are heading.

I'm sure that was not the orignial plan however. In fact I seem to remember my Dad telling me he fought a war to preven such an eventuality.

Ein volk, ein reich, ein bureaucratic dictator, as they say in Brussels.

The Rising Seas Are Not Down To Global Warming Alone.Rising Seas Not Down To Global Warming A new study shows that global warming is not the only cause of swelling seas. Much comes from "water mining" – the pumping of vast amounts of groundwater from beneath the earth, mainly to irrigate crops.

Vertical Farming: The Looniest Idea Yet For Saving The PlanetClimate Science is a strange discipline. Part trainspotting, part trekkie convention going, it combines an almost autistic obession with collcting details, a very autistic obsession with focusing on a single theme and a fantasist's capacity for self deception and a taste for mutual masturbation. The latest loonytoons idea for saving the planet involves turning skyscraper buildings into farms growing food for urban populations. Apart from increasing the cost of food by 1000% and increasing rather than reducing the carbon footprint of food production the idea is so insane noboy could ever take it seriously. Nobody that is except scientists, politicians, academics and the media.
Climate Change Polulation ControlThe ice caps melt at an accelerating rate, despite all the hand wringing of "progressive" politicians a global economy built on perpetual growth cannot reduce its greenhouse gas emissions and the scientific quick fixes offered by the academic community get whackier and potentially more catastropic. Is it time to say the unsayable?
Climate Change CorruptionThe spiel from the control freak governments of developed nations in the run up to the Copenhagen Climate Conference billed as the last chance to save the planet from a global warming catastrophe went something like this."You must listen to the scientists, you must not think for yourselves, you must never question authority," Luckily we all knew the scientists chanting this mantra were as much crooks and liars as the politicians and billionaires they worked for.
Climate Science LiesThe Copenhagen summit conference on climate change was never about climate change. It was about money, power, control and the need to divert attention from the failure of globalization. Pity the science used to back up the case for action was so easily exposed as fraudulent. Human Rights Law Reform Urged

David Cameron is under pressure to deliver on a promise to reform the Human Rights Act following the disclosure that the foreign-born murderer of Philip Lawrence has been arrested on suspicion of another violent attack.

(Yesterday Mrs Lawrence told The Daily Telegraph: “I think the Human Rights Act needs revision. It omits the notion of responsibility, without which we are less than human. I don’t think this is a mere philosophical point.” The legislation was introduced by the Labour government in 1998, but has been criticised for providing more protection for criminals and terrorists than law-abiding citizens. Over the past few years, Mr Cameron repeatedly called for the legislation to be reformed, describing it as “a glaring example of what is going wrong in our country”. The Conservatives drew up plans for a Bill of Rights to replace it. The change would have been introduced before the end of the year had the Tories won a majority. Under the Coalition, the reform has been delayed. Nick Clegg, the Deputy Prime Minister and a previous supporter of the Act, has been charged with helping to lead a commission reviewing the legislation.)

Is Inlation Out Of Control Is the Bank of England trying to inflate away Britain's debts? To the untutored eye, that's certainly what it looks like. The reality is altogether less deliberate. Evidence is building that the benefits for many healthy middle-aged and older people “far outweigh” the side effects, according to the academics. The experts were speaking at the Royal Society of Medicine a month after research from Oxford University published in The Lancet showed that taking 75mg of aspirin daily for five years reduces the risk of getting bowel cancer by a quarter, and deaths from the disease by ...

Aspirin For Everyone

Ian R Thorpe comments: Once again we return to this fascistic idea of medicating the entire population with compliance enforced by threat of legal sanction. Fortunately there has been a mixed response from the more level headed members of the medical establishment to this latest piece of control freakery in support of Big Pharma.

Aspirin can have very adverse side effects. Fortunately these are rare but the scientific trials set up to make the case for this piece of bureaucratic bullying have not considered that those side effects might be rare because people susceptible to aspirin experience a lot of discomfort after taking a couple for a headache and so seek an alternative pain killer. My Dad was such a person and he suffered a lot of headaches but while aspirin was an over the counter medicine he found it easy to avoid them.

If we were to start making people take their daily aspirin by threatening that treatment for heart disease or certain cancers might be witheld from non compliant individuals how many more cases of very serious side effects cases would emerge?

What the government and medical establishment are saying effectively is: "In our zeal to save the many (and to save money on health budgets) we are prepared to sacrifice the few. That is simply not acceptable.

The Ease With Which People Are Hacking Smartphones.

from BBC News:
Many of us carry almost every detail of our lives on our phones - so how secure are we from those who might want to know what we're saying and doing on the move? We know how insecure the voicemail of some famous folk turned out to be a few years back; surely today's sophisticated smartphones ...read full story The ease of hacking smartphones

Ian R Thorpe writes:
Last week we reported on a rumour that the Stuxnet worm was responsible for an unplanned outage at a British nuclear power station:

Cyberwarfare fear and panic rumours that have circulated around the internet unfounded. A British nuclear power station suffering an "unplanned outage" has categorically denied any link to the sophisticated Stuxnet worm. One of two reactors at Heysham 1, owned by French energy giant EDF, was taken offline yesterday. Parts of the site are run by Siemens S7 systems, prompting ... more on stuxnet worm...

Along with the other news, opinion and comment web pages in the Greeenteeeth stable, Boggart Blog and Little Nicky Machiavelli, The Daily Stirrer has always warned against being sucked into the frenzy of fear and panic raised by such rumours about technology. The article we highlight above by BBC Technology correspondent Rory McClellan Jones warns against being taken in by another government / corporate conspiracy, the one which would have us believe we should entrust the whole of our lives, our privacy and our security to machines. Machines that have little security to protect our personal and business data and are connected to a network system developed by a scientists and promoted by stoners and acid heads.

Let me tell you a little history. In the 1980s there was a perfectly good internetworking system. Businesses and organisations could distribute information internally and exchange data with authorised business associates. The system could be made as secure as it needed to be but was also so easy to use that with a little training clerks, sales staff, data inputters, warehousemen and shop floor workers could use their organisation's network to get the information needed to enable them to do their job. The only people who struggled with it were scientists. They could not get their heads round the idea that security was needed.

Unfortunately the information technology business was being taken over by a new breed, those of us who saw computers as a tool to help us do boring number crunching, data filtering and filing tasks were being replaced by nerds who saw computers as gods, intelligent beings that humans should revere and stand in awe of.

What these people had in common with each other, with a lot of the Church of Scienceology science worshiping cult and with politicians was a complete lack of understanding of human nature. Thus when a complete cunt of a scientist came up with a complete cunt of an idea it was embraced enthusiastically.

The idea was that all the data in the world should be opened up to everybody. Science is driven by curiosity, he claimed, and nothing should ever obstruct the curiosity of scientists. Anyone who has ever had a bank or credit card account or done anything they would rather keep from their Dear Old Mum, anyone who earns a wage or has a secret lover they would sooner their partner did not know about, anybody who would rather their colleagues at work did not learn about the weekends spent dressing up as a medieval man at arms and re-enacting battles or whose evenings are spent wearing a cowboy hat and boots while attending a line dancing club; any business that would rather keep its customer database or details of its patents from its rivals will know the importance of privacy.

When it was put to the complete cunt of a scientist by Information Technology professionals that making private information belonging to either companies or individuals was a very bad idea he replied that once all the information in the world was available to everybody online only academics and trusted business people would use it.

There you have the complete failure to understand human nature. Not only are academics the worst back - stabbers, most childish in their cruelty to friends and rivals alike and most selfish and self interested of all human subspecies but also if people can do something they will. And they will pay to be able to do so.

All the warnings did not register however, people were told to put their entire lives online. And then to migrate their most private information from personal computers which have zero security until you have spend a small fortune and even then are less secure than a house with no doors and move it to mobile devices (smartphones, personal organisers, e-readers etc.) There was always a myth among the terminally nerdy that the Linux operating system was more secure than Microsoft Windows. I like Linux (and its big brother Unix) but while Unix computers used in business are secure Linux systems were only judged more secure than PCs because so few people used them it was not worth the hackers while to program the hacks.

Smartphones etc. use a stripped down version of Linux and hundreds of millions of them have been sold. Now it is worth the hacker's while to put in the time on exploiting Linux vulnerabilities.

This obsession of nerds and sciencyheads with the internet led to the stuxnet scare. The worm actually targets a specific microprocessor made by Siemens as you will know if you followed the link in the first paragraph. This microprocessor was built for the sole purpose of controlling certain processes in nuclear installations. It has no operating system as such and therefore no security, zero, zilch. Get into one and you can do as much damage to the world as can be done to an individual by hacking a PC or smartphone and stealing their personal data.

So what kind of person would think of hooking up such devices to a public network and leaving them online and open to everyone in the world when unattended?

Only a complete cunt of course. Or a scientist.

Machines are not smart, you are. If you are reading this you are at least smart enough to use a computer. Do not trust the machines or people who hate their humanity so much they would rather be machines. Think for yourself.

Drug To Erase Memory Is On The Way

It has become fashionable for those involved in science at academic level and fir the left wing media to dismiss anybody who questions alleged scientiic advances or expresses the slightest scepticism about "the science being settled" as a right wing nut job.

Stories like this one however justify all sceptics. Everything we are is on our memory and how can these neo - nazi nut jobs be certain their drugs will be smart enough to select only unpleasant memories when we are a long way from understanding how human memory works. OK, scientists would love to reduce humans to unthinking, unfeeling automatons, that is well known. But we must never assist them in their atempt to brainwash us into believing science is omnipotent.

The white coated coneheads seem to be trying to take us closer to the kind of dystopic world depicted in Orwell's 1984 of Huxley's Brave New World all the time. More sceptoicism is what we need, more people prepared to say, "Yes, I can see it is very clever but where's the humanity in it."

Nobody has suggested tenants will be thrown out after two years only that they may be.

Did China Hijack World Internet Traffic

by Ed Butt

from The Daily Telegraph:

China "hijacked" 15 per cent of the world's internet traffic for 18 minutes earlier this year, including highly sensitive email exchanges between senior US government and military figures, a report to the US Congress said. A state-owned Chinese telecommunications firm re-routed around 15 per cent of all web traffic through its own servers during a brief period on April 8.

The incident has raised fears that China may have harvested highly-sensitive information from re-routed emails.

Another theory is that it could be testing a cyberweapon that could disrupt internet traffic

read full story: China Hijacks World Internet Traffic

The Daily Stirrer's Intrrnet Technology expert Ian Thorpe and science and engineering commentator Xavier Connolly have commented many times on the inherent weakness of the internet as a tool for commerce and government business. Unfortunately the public were seduced by the blandishments of webbyheads and techieheads into believing that a business model based on giving away valuable stuiff like information for free and putting priate and sensitive information into the public domain could lead to a new era of prosperity while politicians were easily persuaded by sly suggestions of how much power those who controlled the information could weild.

In fact a few corporations now exercise some sort of control over the internet, a system on which much of the world's business relies and which has zero security and no fallback. Worse, those corporations are run by nerds whose desire for control makes the average Nazi dictator look liberal while their blind faith in the omnipitence and infallibility of technology puts them on a par with religious cultists in terms of critical analysis capabilities.

It is by no means proved that China did hijack the world's internet traffic. That it is even feasible is a big enough concern to prompt us to demand action now.

BHP Drops Bid For Potash of Canada

from BBC News:
Mining giant BHP Billiton has abandoned its takeover bid for fertiliser group Potash Corporation after it was blocked by the Canadian government. Canada rejected the offer on 3 November, saying it was not convinced that it was in Canadian interests.

We should start to appreciate Canadians more perhaps. A few months ago The Daily Stirrer was praising two Canadian sceptics for exposing the fraud of climate science and "anthropogenic global warming" by analysing the mathematical data on which the case was built and exposing how the academic community had manipulated figures and ignored results which did not fit their expectations.

Now, after the media reported how Austrailan minerals giant BHP Billiton were attempting to take over Potash of Canada and so establish a near total monopoly on potash (potassium) resources essential in producing the fertilizers needed for intensive farming. Had the takeove gone ahead BHP Billiton would have ben able to control food supplies and manipulate the commodities markets trading in essential food products such as grain, beans and coffee.

Fortunately ministers of the Canadian government saw the danger in ths and have blocked the move. It is a victory in the war against corporate fascism but the war will go on.

Don't Call Me A Conspiracy Theoristt has become the habit of the self styled 'progressive left' to shout conspiracy theorist whenever anybody very reasonably suggests they are being duped by the dark forces of corporate fascism, that their favoured brand of collectivism is not in any way liberal but in fact will lead to an oligarchic tyranny similar to the big brother regime depicted in George Orwell's novel Nineteen Eighty Four and that far from being theoretical, conspiracies are verey real and exercising much more influence on our lives than the unimaginative lefties would ever believe.
United Nations Warns Of A New Food CrisisWith food price inflation causing social problems in poor nations already the United Nations, as always slamming the stable door after the horse has bolted, has warned of an imminent crisis.
from The Daily Stirrer
Next Boss Warns On Cotton Price IncreasesAs the boss of a major UK clothing and fashion retailer warns of the likely impact of rising cotton prices on the cost of clothing John De Roe revisits on of The Daily Stirrer's recurring themes throughout the economict crisis, overpopulation.
Vertical FarmingClimate Science is a strange area of human endeavour. Part trainspotting, part trekkie convention goer, it combines an almost autistic obession with collcting details, a very autistic obsession with focusing on a single theme and a fantasists capacity for self deception.
Food Crisis Control Freakery
Fancy eating grey goo, or according to scientists meat grown in a vat. Thius is one of the ideas proposed by science academic to deal with the problm of feeding the world when the population has beemed to nine billion. This number of humans is redicted to be reached by 2050. The simple answer to overpopulation that nobody is talking about is population control. Do we need nine billion people? Do we have the technology to keep population levels manageable? Yes and yes..

Iceberg Alley BluesWe must stop using oil say the politicians and scientists as it becomes more imperative that exploration begins in Iceberg Alley off the Canadian Coast, elsewhere in the Arctic and in other sensitive locations. They are just trying to soften us up for carbon taxes of course. Nobody knows better than politicians that the world runs on oil and that alternative non polluting sources are a long way short of being able to supply energy needs
Calorie Offsetting Humour Everybody has heard of carbon offsetting, the super wheeze that will allow those of us in the civilised world to carry on as we are while the people of developing nations sell us their carbon allowances to keep body and soul together. Well how do you fancy our calorie offsetting scheme that allows you to eat what you like and pay a poor person to get fat for you.
Cimate Change Population ControlThe ice caps melt at an accelerating rate, despite all the hand wringing of "progressive" politicians a global economy built on perpetual growth cannot reduce its greenhouse gas emissions and the scientific quick fixes offered by the academic community get whackier and potentially more catastropic. Is it time to say the unsayable?
Cloned BeefRecent reports that cloned beef will soon be on shelves set us thinking is there any point cloning animals for food. Why go to all the trouble and expence of cloning new animals when the animals themselves have a perfectly good way of making new, non clone animals that has woked for millions of years. If it ain't broke, break it seems to be the driving force behind so much science these days.

Internet Anti Virus Scam

from The Daily Telegraph:
Gangsters are tricking internet users into buying anti-virus protection that is actually malicious software in disguise, security experts have warned.
Investigators fear the hacking gangs are pocketing millions of pounds by infiltrating customers’ computers and stealing their banking details.
They said criminals pose as legitimate IT companies who cold call victims offering fake security software that can be downloaded for about Ł30.
The crooks then combine credit card information from the sale with stolen personal information to defraud ...

Yet another example of why we should not rely on the internet. The inability of those who allegedly regulate the internet to police it against threats like this, which has been around for several years now, should be sufficient warning to anybody thinking of using a net based service to provide a function vital to their business.

Those who believe in the life enhancing qualities of the internet are however nothing if not sheeplike. Only a couple of days ago while looking at the comment thread on a Daily Telegraph article in which a tablet computer virgin was waxing lyrical about the Apple iPad I joined and exchange in which an Apple geek and a Googlegeek were disagreeing about which technology will change the world.

The Apple geek, displaying all the symptoms of religious cult membership that we associate with Apple geeks, declared the iPad will change computing, kill print for the book, magazine and newspaper market and bring about a cultural shift that will end war, poverty and disease (and when we have all acknowledged Steve Jobbies as our saviour all our clothes will fall off and we will ascend to heaven to dwell in eternal bliss - well OK, maybe that is a slight exaggeration but you know how enthusiastic Apple geeks are.)

"No, no!" protested the Google Geek, Google docs and Google cloud will be the transformational technology. We will all give up using our own software and rely on Google for everything, mail, word processing, html authoring, instant messaging and and and - well everything anyone could want (like my broadcast quality video editing suite for example - not everyone either needs or wants on but I wouldn't be without it.).

The Googlehead went on to babble about how much more efficient it would be if everybody used Google for all their business and personal computing and data storage needs. I guess it would be for businesses that do not mind having their product specifications, pricing structure, supplier and customer files, payroll and personnel details and banking records put in the public domain or details of assignations with their secret lover "shared" with all their Google friends. When I replied to this effect it incurred the ire of both Applegeek and Googlegeek.

Predicatably one defined himself as "a scientist" and said that I do not understand science. Quite what that has do do with my not wanting to let Google, a company whose business model is built on the principle of stealing businesses / individual's private data and selling it is perhaps something only a "scientist" (aka dickhead) could understand but I do not want Google anywhere my stuff which is why I keep it offline.

The other cupid stunt geek then chimed in. Did I think that copies of my e-mails were kept on the service provider's servers? (Yes, but my e-mails are on little consequence) Did I think my PC was totally safe from hackers (Yes it is, I'm a former IT pro and too savvy to leave the PCs in my network on line when nobody is using them) or that my data was safe in the event of a hard drive failure? (Has he never heard of backing up, my important stuff is easily recoverable.)

It was a strange experience because I had not mentioned most of the things these geeks were banging on and accousing me of being paranoid about. What I had cited as an example of why we should not rely on providers of free services to support business or personal data processing requirements was the case of streamload.com.

You will only get a 404 if you try to connect to Streamload now, they set up about five years ago offering stupendous amounts of storage for free to businesses and private users alike. There were pay-to-use services too but twenty five gigabytes storage is plenty for all but the biggest operation. Plenty of people signed up for a free account, just enter a user name and password, no need to prove who you are or supply credit references, no silly, pointless contracts. Away people went, loading their data to streamload, linking to it and relying on it.

There was one thing the ubergeeks at streamload had not thought through, a thing more essential that great ideas, technical wizardry and a "progressive" laid back attitude to life. They did not have a revenue stream. The people behind the venture had believed in the ideas of the illusion dwelling and delusion dwelling stoners and acidheads who promoted the idea that the way forward for a global economy based on perpetual growth was to all get rich by giving everything away free. As business plans go it is not up there with the Wal Mart "pile it high, sell it cheap" model nor even with Senor Ponzi's "promise the earth, then sell them another promise" method.

Streamload diappeared overnight. The web addresses ceased to exist, the servers (which were probably only virtual servers anyway, were reassigned to other users and people who had relied on the sevice lost all their stored data. They had no legal redress of course, no contract existed, the company had never set out in its terms and conditions what would happen to users data in the event of bankruptcy. And no contracts had ever been signed or even clicked to guarantee a service.

What I was trying to point out is that people who rely on Google or Yahoo or Microsoft to provide a free service are putting themselves in a vulnerable position. There is nothing to stop providers of uncontracted services from simply withdrawing from the market.

If we are all to rely on the internet to the extent service providers encourage we should make ourselves familiar with how the net works, what various terms mean and who we can trust (as in real life, nobody, especially those who seem eager to give you a valuable service for nothing.) And we all need to know the most effective was to protect our data and machines so we will understand that the threat from malware and viruses is greatly overstated. Usually the people talking up the threats have a simplke agenda, to sell you expensive software you do not really need.

Really we should be afraid, be very afraid of the blind faith in technology that seems to be spreading among the younger generation of technology professionals. They reckon they are experts but only the very gullible would have such faith in dumb, insensate machines. The very kind of cupid stunts who would fall for a cold callers spiel about virus threats and the need to buy a new security package nobody has ever heard of and install it at once.

Today's News
obama-china-g20 Obama Takes A Swipe At China US president Barack Obama took a swipe at China's currency policy after G20 leaders failed to resolve tensions running high over global trade imbalances.

The summit in South Korea ended as it began, the row over gaps and surpluses which sees China accused of keeping the yuan artificially low to boost its exports at the expense of American and European jobs dominated discussions .

"It (the yuan) is undervalued and China spends enormous amounts of money intervening in the market to keep it undervalued," Mr Obama said, adding:

No nation should assume that their path to prosperity is paved simply with exports to the US."

However Beijing is furious that the United States Federal Exchange recently to launch a further round of quantitative easing, pumping an further $600bn (Ł370bn) into the US economy in addition to the $720 billion already flooding the markets. China and other trade competitors of the U.S. view this as an attempt to weaken the dollar. The Obama administration has ben trying to drive down the value of the dollar for some time but because the it is the world's reserve currency, the money international trades are conducted in, other trading nations such as China, India, Japan and the Arab oil states are reluctant to see the value of their holdings fall and are forcing their own currencies down against commodities in line with the devaluation of the $US.

This has seen the price of gold rocket to a ridiculous $1,400 an ounce in international markets while essential food and mineral commodities have also experienced rapid rises.

International support for Mr Obama's attempts to get tough on China was muted. The world knows if Obama is hellbent on a currency war with China and its allies he cannot possibly win they must stand well back or risk their own economies and trading relationships being damaged by the repercussions.

The final G20 communique thrashed out in negotiations saw leaders agree various measures towards economic stability, including a commitment towards market-determined exchange rate systems.

But a pledge to refrain from "competitive undervaluation" – not allowing a currency to rise as China is accused of – was replaced with "competitive devaluation".

This subtle difference was interpreted as being less pejorative about China's chosen course. Commitments to guidelines to rebalancing trade between nations fell far short of US hopes for 4pc limits on surpluses and deficits, due to resistance from China and other big exporters.

The UK's Prime Minister David Cameron said there was never going to be a quick or easy solution to the problem and adopted a more conciliatory tone towards China than President Obama had.

The American President's delusional belief that he was elected President Of The World is now the main obstacle to making any meaningful progress towards workable trade agreements. Obama, a man of very ordinary intellect and a quite extraordinary set of complexes and neuroses, has spent his adult life surrounded by guilt tripping politically correct Americans who, because of the colour of his skin and their own desperate desire to be seen as non racist, have lauded his every banal utterance, praised his faults and massaged the ego that causes him to think he is the only human being who ever understood anything about anything.

Thus when he pontificates to Chinese, South East Asian, Indian, Arab and European leaders he fully anticipates they will agree with him on all points. As long as he persists in this attitude, that is as long as he remains President he will continue to piss off the people he needs to establish a mutual understanding and working relationship with him.

And so long as the mainstream media persists in their sycophantic, politically correct fawning on this weak, ineffectual man because they are afraid to publicly criticise any member of the dark skinned races the flow of power from west to east will continue in a torrent.

Lib Dems Planned To Drop Tuition Fees Pledge
The Liberal Democrats were drawing up plans to abandon Nick Clegg's flagship policy to scrap university tuition fees two months before the general election, secret party documents reveal. As the Lib Dem leader faces a growing revolt after this week's violent protest against fee rises, internal documents show the party was drawing up proposals for coalition negotiations which contrasted sharply with

The amount of rage being hurled at Nick Clegg and other Liberal Democrat ministers in the coalition government by labour-lefie-loonies and by their own party members is as amusing as it is irrational. The first thing we should note is that none of us at The Daily Stirrer (and we've all been round the block a few times) can recall Labour members ever being so vitriolic towards their own party in government when the wishful thinking of campaign promises has to give way to the harsh realities of government.

The left has a long tradition of hypocrisy of course, look how they rant and rave about abolishing private education and yet how many among the Labour elite send their children to private schools or, every bit as bad, to faith schools in expensive suburbs where the catchment area ensures a large majority of pupils will be from affluent middle class homes, the offspring of professional couples.

The angst of Liberal Democrats, while amusing to behold is worrying for people who wish the coalition government well and are hoping they survive long enough to really stop the tide of politically correct lunacy set in spate during thirteen years of Labour rule. After ninety years of dreaming of power, the Lib Dems, finally having put a fingertip on the levers of government are finding responsibility not to their taste.

When I was an active member of the Liberal Party on of the greatest frustrations for those of us who believed a common sense, non ideological approach to the everyday problems facing voters could really help achieve "the greatest good of the greatest number" was that faction of the party we referred to as the raffia mafia. These sandal wearing, tree hugging, lentil munching wierdies were far more concerned with being seen to be "nice" and "caring" that with facing up to reality, deciding what needed to be done and setting about doing it. Their utopian dreams marginalised the whole party.

It seems too many Lib Dems are still living in that bubble of unreality, to eager to show how much they care about education and the plight of poor students to face up to the reality that Labour's rapid expansion of the higher education system was too great a burden for the education budget to bear. The aim was to have 50% of school leavers going to University. This is a totally unrealistic target. The country does not need and cannot find suitable jobs for so many graduates.

We have to get a sense of reality about this. Yes, the state should fund Uinversity tuition and provide support for students whose parents cannot subsidise them through three years of higher education. Having said that we must set a limit on the numbers we support through higher education so that the financial burden on the taxpayer does not become unsustainable.

It might seem harsh to some but let's remember, Utopia is a fiction.

Papering Over The G20 Cracks Will Not Avert A Currency War.

Leaders of the G20 group of major economies, including Barack Obama and the UK's David Cameron have agreed to avoid "competitive devaluation" of currencies after a second day of difficult talks in the South Korean capital, Seoul.

Leaders agreed to come up with "indicative guidelines" to tackle trade imbalances affecting world growth.Tensions had been high between some delegations over how to correct distortions in currency and trade.

But the agreement fell short of a US push to ...

John de Roe Comments for The Daily Stirrer.
The G20 leaders can pass all the resolutions they like and issue joint statements ''til the cows come home, the fact is we have a currency war and until the United States, owner of the world's reserve currency, the US Dollar stops trying to reduce its debt by devaluing the currency the world trades in and starts to work on getting its deficit under control the currency war will go on. The American economy has since the 1970s been both beneficiary and victim of the fact that the dollar is the world's reserve currency. Whatever nations buy from across national borders they must pay for in dollars and whatever they bring to the world market to trade they want to be paid in dollars for. So it does not really matter how big the US deficit on oil, steel, food crops and coffee may be because what Uncle Sam is really selling in the world market is the dollar. This means the Federal Reserve Bank can print dollars to buy whatever the consumers demand.

The situation had persisted since the British economy crashed and burned after World War 2. The pound is still a trading currency but mostly within the British Commonwealth. In the world market a wodge of British wonga no longer begs the question "how much of our stuff would you like, sir?" but "how many dollars will that monopoly money buy us, schmuck?" No matter, we own enough of America to ensure we have a ready supply of dollars flowing in through our holdings in the Caymans, Bermuda, The Channel Islands, The Isle of Man etc. World trade is truly a wonderful thing when a nation does not have to trade in food or manufactured goods using money as the token of exchange but can survive simply by trading in money. London is the largest world centre of currency trading and without that business Britain would have become a basket case nation a couple of decades ago

The happy situation for the United States of dollar supremacy looked set to continue but for the push towards European integration and the resurgence of Arab nationalism. So long as the dollar remained supreme the United States could continue to run up massive debts to support a lifestyle unparalleled anywhere in the world. As long as the world needed dollars Washington could pay the interest on its debts.
After the fall of the Soviet Union certain economists and political philosophers (mostly in France and Germany) decided that to have only one superpower would be bad for the world community. Another trading bloc was needed and the European Union could easily be adapted to fill the void.

It is easy to follow the reasoning, around 70% of the world's currency reserves are held in dollars which of course means that essential commodities, particularly oil, are valued in dollars. While the U.S.A. controls the money supply in effect it gets imports for free. As a bonus most of the dollars that other nations have worked hard to earn have to be invested back in the U.S. economy. It is so smart we should be surprised the Mafia did not think of it first.

At the time this was going on the European Union's collective economy suffered from none of the systemic weaknesses of the American economy. Only the smaller nations of Europe, Greece, Portugal, Ireland, were burdened with the same pro rata levels of debt as America and the stronger nations could easily absorb the problems This being so, the Euro was the only serious competitor to the Dollar as a world currency. There we have one of the true, but unmentionable, reasons why The White House was so anxious to bring about regime change in Iraq, promote the growth of China and other emerging nations and create new markets to trade in the commodities it was thought would farm the basis of the future economy as resources of oil and other basic raw materials ran out. The lesson has not been lost on people who are not friends of America however. Control the money supply and they could control everything

The oil nations of the Middle East do more trade and have better political relationships with Europe than the U.S., the EU imports more oil and the European economies are cashflow based rather than debt based and so are more sustainable in adverse trading conditions. There have already been rumblings from within OPEC (the Organisation of Petroleum Exporting Countries) that a switch from dollars to euros for pricing oil could be a serious option. Should Europe's two main oil producers, Britain and Norway adopt the euro it could well be the tipping point at which a switch by OPEC becomes not possible but inevitable. On top of that there is another risk. Western News Media portray Al Qaeda as an organisation intent upon destroying western civilisation but this is a dangerous over estimation of terrorist ambitions. There are surely terrorist cells around the world who meet in gloomy basements and mutter darkly through beards of mass destruction about the downfall of the decadent west and the triumph of Islam but Osama bin Laden is certainly neither mad nor stupid. He knows well the American collective psychology, the siege mentality that sees enemies (and Satan) lurking behind every rock and tree along the borders. America will be destroyed by fear and panic rather than enemy action.

A shift to a more inward looking stance on foreign policy as the Obama adminitration's domestic problems grow and the obsession with "minority rights" issues in Obie's natural constituency, the politically correct left obstructs any attempt to do what needs to be done could well open the way for a Bin Laden inspired coup in Saudi Arabia, overthrowing the House of Saud and replacing it with an Islamic fundamentalist regime. And with the fundamentalists in Iran and Saudi Arabia pulling the strings in the world's main oil producing area you can bet the exodus from the dollar would be rapid and total.

The American currency is already weak in world markets, the past twelve months have seen first a decline against other major currencies and more importantly against essential commodities and gold. The situation is so far out of America's control that with either a weak or a strong dollar they now must be the losers. The weak dollar mean imports, particularly oil, get more expensive and Americans regard the right to cheap gasoline as right up alongside the right to free speech and the right to have bed dress sense. A strong dollar means America's exports get dearer and a country already up to its neck in debt cannot afford a drop in its income from exports. Driving the dollar down in currency markets as the Obama administration have been trying to do, if successful merely buys breathing space at the expense of destroying the value of savings, pension funds and the buying power of wages. The effect of a lower dollar exchange rate may be felt for six months to a year as contracts made for goods before the devaluation hold prices down. After a certain time though those contracts expire and new ones are negotiated at the new exchange rate. Try to keep devaluing, as the Federal Exchange has and trading partners start to demand settlement in other currencies, commodities or gold. All this is great for the evil bankers but terrible for ordinary people. The final factor in the slow motion train wreck that is happening to American is the domestic economy is very much consumer led. A few hikes in the price of gasoline will cause panic to set in and people will stop spending. Tax revenues will drop even further, bigger borrowing will be required to cover the public sector deficit and America will have to pay more interest on its borrowings. Rating Agencies have already, last week, downgraded America's credit rating. This can only lead to inflation in parallel with which The White House will have to increase taxes. And then the trouble starts.

Central banks have started to shift reserves into more stable currencies and create a snowball effect. With demand for its main trading commodity diminishing the US economy faces possible collapse and America's position as the world's strongest nation looks precarious. Europe may constitute a significant threat to America's domination in trade but whereas the Soviet Union was a military superpower but an economic island, Europe and the U.S.A. are allies militarily but economic competitors that, under the unwritten rules of free market economics, would have go head to head in a trade war like two bull elephants. Meanwhile China and India look ever more ready to step up to the mark as the world's economic superpowers. Free market economics compels all participants to compete for a bigger share of the cake at a time when America is more vulnerable than it has been in well over a century.

And here's an interesting snippet seen in The Daily Telegraph:
Politician Admits Carbon Taxes Are Just Another Revenue Raising Scam

Energy Bills To Rise This Winter
Households will see their gas and electricity bills climb by an average of 7 per cent from December 10 according to news reports. Though Brith Gas, followed by other suppliers, reduced bills by 8% last year that was only a fraction of the average 42% increase in the wake of 2008's financial crisis.

The increase will add an additional Ł1.50 on a typical weekly dual fuel bill, which equates to Ł78 a year.

As currency continues to devalue on the international markets and the nations sitting on vast oil and gas reserves sense the west's powerlessness to do anything about price hikes we can expect more increases. Stick up on warn clothes.

Why Can't British Workers Compete With Immigrants For Jobs?
by Xavier Connolly

from The Daily Telegraph
The main controversy in today's news stories is the response of Work amd Pensions Secretary Iain Duncan Smith to the citicisms made by the Archbishop of Canterbury about the government's handling of the long term unemployment problem.

The Daily Telegraph put it like this:

Iain Duncan Smith, the Work and Pensions Secretary, said it was a "sin" that British workers are not capable of competing for jobs with foreigners.
As the Government unveiled the biggest reform of the welfare system in 60 years, Mr Duncan Smith said immigrants had taken 70 per cent of the four million-plus new jobs created in the last 14 years because British workers "weren't capable or able" to take them.
His language answers criticism from the Archbishop of Canterbury that ...

The BBC also led on the story:
: BBC News - New Benefit System Being Unveiled

The situation is an indictment of the failure of politically correct thinking by left wingers in the civil service, local government and education over the past fifty years. The 1945 - 51 Labour government (before my time but I've read history books) made some very important and necessary changes to British society that really transformed the way way people lived and the way they regarded themselves. Unfortunately, like the Liberal governments of Asquith and Lloyd George before them, like the Chartists of the early nineteenth century, like all great reforming movements once they had achieved their main aim (universal health care, the welfare system and the dismantling of the class system in Labour's case) they were effectively obsolete.

New generations of Labour leaders were not content to settle into the role of being part of the political establishment however, they too wanted to go down in history as having successfully brought about major social reforms.

Driven by the left British society moved towards a one-size-fits-all education system, campaigned for equalities for people who were not actually unequal and pushed for the disastrous policy of multiculturalism which has sliced open the belly of British culture and drawn out its guts all in the name of pandering to minorities.

In the employment market The Labour Party and the trade union movement between them replaced the work ethic with a sense of entitlement. "Nobody," went the message "should ever have to do anything they do not want to do, the world owes you a living." It is true to say this was exacerbated by Margaret Thatcher's war on British industry and reforms to the tax system which made it virtually impossible for a family to live comfortably on a single wage.

All the time, from the 1950 through the 1990 to within the last decade the jobs British workers did not want to do, jobs the products of our education system deemed beneath their dignity were being taken by incomers, first from the Caribbean, then from India and Pakistan the Bangla Desh and Africa then Eastern Europe, people who understood what a great privilege it is to live in a society like Britain (or Germany, France, Holland and Italy because we should not pretend our problems are unique. These incomers did not feel they were entitled to a Ford Cortina or a colour television, an iPhone or a foreign holiday. They were happy to have a solid roof over their head, enough to eat, clean water to drink and the opportunity for their children to achieve better lives. We have become accustomed to taking for granted. In short we don't know how well off we are.

One thing we have lost but immigrants still have is the ability to gain their self esteem from the knowledge they have bequeathed to the next generation a chance to do better. Having lost that too many of us in the west can only measure ourselves by our material wealth and the things we possess.

And that, in a nutshell, is why British workers cannot compete with foreigners in the hunt for jobs.

Higher Tuition Fees Will Keep Costs Down Says Cameron by Xavier Connolly

From The Daily Telegraph
A surprise remark from David Cameron is likely to anger parents who are being forced to find thousands more to fund their children's higher education. The Prime Minister was quizzed on a trip to a university in Beijing about last week's Coalition proposal to raise tuition fees by up to Ł9,000 a year. A student asked Mr Cameron if he believed the move would restrict the opportunities for Chinese youngsters to gain places on university courses in Britain.

another p.o.v Students Protest Against Tuition Fee Rise - The Guardian

It's hard to see quite what The Prime Minister is driving at here, how can higher fees possibly keep costs down when tuition fees are responsible for the bulk of the debt incurred by students?

Mr. Cameron could of course mean that the prospect of having to pay higher tuition fees and thus leaving University with an even greater burden of debt that students in recent years have been accustomed to will discourage students from taking up University places.

If this kills off some of the courses in bogus arts and pseudo science, examples including "Feminism In Film" and "Evolutionary Psychology" or degree courses in vocational subjects such as our favourite "Waste Management with Modern Dance," it could be positive. If it encourages students to stay at home and take up degree courses on offer in local colleges or to seek out two year courses and opt for serious study instead of partying at the taxpayers expense it could be positive.

And if it reduces the number of students leaving University with degrees in media studies, journalism, fashion design and sociology when there are never going to be enough jobs in those fields to employ them all it could be positive.

If, as I suspect, it is just another example of the spinmeister's art, a catchy phrase created to convince voters the coalition are on the case when in fact they are as clueless as their Labour predecessors about how to tackle the problems the nation faces then Mr. Cameron had better start thinking about where he is going to live when the coalition falls apart and he is ejected from Downing Street. Because it might be sooner than he expects.

Education OversoldWe have been told for years that higher education leading to a university degree is the surefire route to career success and personal fulfillment after graduation. As resentment grows because with graduate unemployment on the rise the burden of student debt is crippling young people for many years we ask has university education been oversold for the sake of political expediency?

Chinese Credit Agency Downgrades U.S. Bonds
by John de Roe

One of China’s leading credit rating agencies has downgraded United States of America government debt in response to what it sees as deliberate devaluation of the dollar by quantitative easing and other means. If China, now the second biggest economy in the world, stops buying US government bonds this could have a very negative effect on…

Banks Say Inflation To Remain High - BBC News

It's another case of We Told You So. The Daily Stirrer has been warning of the dangers of quantitative easing since we started this website.

If, as the Daily Telegraph story warns and as now seems likely, China now stops buying United States Treasury bonds the Obama administration that in spite of the crushing defeat suffered by the Democrats in last week's mid - term elections shows no sign of deviating from its chosen course of running up insane deficits in an attempt to change the collective psyche of America are going to find it much harder to fund their burgeoning monthly deficits.

Not only will they find it harder to raise money in the markets, the interest due on those debts they take on will rise too. Already unable to meet the costs incurred in the day to day running of the nation, the growing public sector wage bill and the rising cost of unemployment and welfare benefits as unemployment continues to rise they will have to borrow more money. And when they do that interest rates will rise further and more quickly. All this must be paid for out of falling tax revenues or by borrowed money. Thus the Greek style spiral of debt begins to drag the nation down into financial basket case status.

The President is not apparently concerned by this. He is much more eager to further piss off the government by criticising their record on Human Rights. It seems a strange priority when the leaders of China are in the ideal position to hold a gun to his head.

Cervical Cancer Jab To Replace Smear Tests
by Ed Butt

Girls who have the cervical cancer jab may only need screening twice in their lifetime, an expert said today.

Cervical cancer should become a "rare disease" thanks to the introduction of the vaccine, said Professor Peter Sasieni, from Queen Mary, University of London. Prof Sasieni suggests the current smear test programme, which sees women invited for screening every three to five years, could be replaced with ...

This is another lie told in the campaign to brainwash us into believing big pharma can create a vaccine for everything.

There are a few things to remember about the HPV vaccine before you get carried away by the hype. As far as we know there are no serious side effects but then neither is it very effective. The Human Papilloma Virus (HPV) which the vaccine protects against is not the sole cause of cervical cancer. Reliable figures are hard to obtain because the medical establishment are more secretive than the climate science community about the data on which they base their claims but it is estimated that as many as 50% of cervical cancers are due to other causes.

The vaccine does not offer lifetime protection, it wears off in about ten years according to independent researchers whose work is not widely publicised (surprise!). This means that as the vaccine is given to pubescent girls it is wearing off by the time they are likely to be at their most sexually active.

The vaccine is very expensive and yet its supporters are not only pushing for legislation to make it compulsory for girls to be vaccinated but also for boys to receive the vaccine as well. How, you might well ask, do they justify vaccinating boys, who do not have a cervix, against cancer of the cervix?

Their case is that boys might be carriers of the virus and infect unvaccinated girls. When sceptics (rational thinkers) challenge this particular piece of illogic, pointing out that if all girls are vaccinated by law there will be no chance of male carriers infecting them the vaccine fascists are ready with their answer. What about women from undeveloped nations where vaccination is not automatic, they wail.

What about them? Why do we not ban all cars from the road in case an Amazonian native on a visit to the west walks in front of one, not being aware of the danger. Why don't we shut down the grids and cut off electricity supplies lest a retard sticks a metal pin in the socket and gets electrocuted. Why don't we erect a giant roof over the world to stop the occasional (once every few million years) rogue asteroid hitting a populated area?

See where these people are headed, these politically correct thinkers who would spend the entire GDP of the developed world on making sure nobody is ever at risk from anything and nobody is ever endangered by anything? They would destroy civilisation for the sake of salving their guilty consciences. And what do they feel guilty about? Being Westerners, that's what. The Daily Stirrer says don't vaccinate such people against anything, they all tend to be militant atheists and voluble supporters of evolution. Deny them medicines and treatment on the grounds that such things mess up the process of natural selection.

Barack Obama, the great communicator who would reach out to the world and heal its wounds is a bit of a numbskull when it comes to international affairs it turns out.

Barack Obama has hailed Indonesia as an example to the world of how developing countries can embrace democracy. We examine the democratic, social, religious and human rights credentials of the world's most populous Muslim state ...

Well he would say that wouldn't he, being the great uniter, the man of peace reaching out to the Islamic world to reconcile them to the evil west. Cameron Told To Bollock The Chinese About Human Rights
by Ed Butt
Leading Chinese artist and dissident Ai Weiwei has risked arrest by delivering a public call to David Cameron to challenge his country's leadership on their human rights record.

Mr Weiwei, who was released on Sunday from a two-day house arrest, said he feared he would be silenced again by the authorities for saying that Mr Cameron will “commit a crime” if he fails to speak out against human rights abuses.

As a result of news reports on this story the radio call - in shoes were buzzing today with the 'rights' lefties demanding David Cameron cut off Britain's business relationships with the Chinese in retaliation for their abysmal human rights record.

Right so. But where the fuck would we get our underwear and shirts and microwave ovens and MP3 players from?

The lefties who are always wailing and gnashing their teeth about the way foreign countries manage their societies never seen able to understand what the Chinese or Russians, Tanzanians, Iranians or any other nation does within its own borders is the business of that nation's people. We may not like the way they carry on. In most cases they do not some of the things that happen in our society. If nations start trying to meddle in the internal affairs of other nations however that road can only lead to war.

The west is heavily involved in military action in Afghanistan, is just now disengaging from Iraq, has the Israeli / Palestinian conflict simmering on a back burner, ready to boil over into full scale regional war at the least provocation and is sitting on the permanent powder keg that is Africa.

And still the human rights whiners cannot get their heads round the first principle of international relation; DON'T FUCK WITH THE CHINESE.

Obama Goes Home To Indonesia
by Ian R. Thorpe
US President Barack Obama made a much-delayed homecoming of sorts to Indonesia on Tuesday, seeking to engage Muslims and cement strategic relations on the second leg of his Asia tour.
read full storyObama Goes Home To Indonesia

Goes home to Indonesia? Really? And we were told by so many people he was a natural born nephew of his Uncle Sam citizen of the United States of America.

Even worse was to befall him in connection with his true nationality however. With doubts about his eligibility to serve as United States President surfacing again in the wake of his party's rout in the mid term elections he was, while preparing to give a speech to Indian businessmen introduced by a former Kenyan Asian who was chairing the event as "a fellow Kenyan."

While most of the publicity surrounding Obama's eligibility has centered on whether he was actually born in the U.S. sate of Hawaii several law suits progressing through the labyrinthine American legal system make clear the issue is that according to Obama's own account his father was a Kenyan national (actually a British colonial citizen at the time of the President's birth) and was never even legally a resident of the USA let alone a naturalised citizen.

This would make Obama a dual citizen at birth if he was in fact born in Hawaii, a fact which is acknowledged in his semi - fictional autobiography Dreams From My Father.

Other accusations centre on the time during Obama's childhood when he lived with his mother and her Indonesian husband Lolo Soetoro in Jakarta. It is claimed Soetoro adopted the boy (a necessary step for him to attend an Indonesian state school as documentary evidence proves he did), making him an Indonesian citizen in the process. If Obama has never been renaturalised and no evidence has been found to suggest he has, this also would render him inelegible to serve as President Of The United States.

As my god friend Jeff Schreiber, a U.S. Lawyer warned in 2008 America would have a constitutional crisis on its hands if Obama was elected. They certainly have one of those now and its a humdinger.

Obama's refusal to show his long form birth certificate or other documents that might be relevant to his nationality give grounds for suspicion that there is some substance in the allegations made against him. It could of course simply be that his father is not the fabled Kenyan goat boy Barack Hussein Obama Snr. but an American citizen. This would settle questions of eligibility in Obama's favour but would expose him as a liar and a fantasist who spun this exotioc backstory for electoral gain.

We eagerly await further developments.

Children Who Have Not Had MMR Jab Should Be Banned From School
by SXavier Connolly
Children who haven't had the MMR jab should be banned from schools, according to Dr Sohail Bhatti, a director of one of the largest health trusts in has said. Oh well, we suppose bureaucratic bullying is the only way to improve uptake of the MMR vaccine which is hitting new lows we hear since the first damages award made in a British court for brain damage incurred as a result of receiving the MMR vaccine. Children Who Have Not Had MMR Jab Should Be Banned From School Says Doctor

The ploy used by the government and the pharmaceutical industry to sell MMR in the face of doubts is to direct all attention onto the case of discredited Dr. Andrew Wakefield. That is a typical government / corporate diversion. Over the years many parents have stepped forward to affirm that their children had developed serious symptoms comparable to autism shortly after receiving the MMR vaccine and had suffered permanent or long term harm.

It is customary for medical bodies such as the General Medical Council and for respected (but on this issue not necessarily respectable) publications like The Lancet, The Times and The Guardian to dismiss these as coincidence. When a think keeps happening in the course of a pattern of events however it is reasonable to suspect it is perhaps not coincidence.

The official line is predictably that only religious cranks and right wing nut cases harbour doubts about the MMR vaccine. This is not true. There is a significant body of medical opinion which holds that MMR and other multiple vaccines are still in use because of a massive cover up. These people are careful not to express their views too openly because they know that as was the case with Dr. Wakefield, to challenge the official line on this vaccine is to court professional ruin.

One of the reasons we do not take comments on this site is we have experience of web scrubbing campaigns like the one set up to protect MMR by throwing doubt on the sanity of those who question it (hint: the people who write The Daily Stirrer are not right wing neither are we religious) This again is a diversionary tactic so we like people to read our posts and make up their own minds.

Now nobody has ever tried to suggest that ham will come to any child who receives the MMR jab. In all but a very small minority of cases the children are perfectly safe. What gave us grounds to suspect some kind of cover up is exactly the type of official bullying we showed in the lead to this story.

Why this pressure to force MMR on worried parents? Before the introduction of the triple jab and the trickle of cases of the onset of brain damage occurring shortly after the vaccine was administered (a trickle that prompted Dr. Wakefield's misguided research project) there was over 90% take up of the measles vaccine. According to the latest statistics I read the take up of MMR is around 60% and falling. So why did the last government, if they were so concerned about the possibly very serious consequences of measles, not give parents the right to request their children receive the vaccines singly.

Ask that question and you will usually be told you do not understand science. Which is yet another diversionary tactic aimed at making questioners feel stupid and inadequate. WTF has understanding science to do with wanting a single vaccine for your child. It's a perfectly simple question, why can people who are prepared to pay a fair charge not have their children vaccinated singly?

The Coalition has a chance to take another step in the right direction here and roll back the advances made by The Politically Correct Thought Police under Labour. We need to get back to the idea that prison is a punishment handed out to people whose actions have caused material or physical harm to others. It is not a way of compensating the unfortunate victims of society whose home backgrounds, academic failure at school or status as a member of a minority has complelled them to commit anti social acts in order to draw attention to their need for help.

Prison should be unpleasant or it is not a deterrent. Sure, keep the educational opportunities, they can help those who want to change their lives. But restrict access to TV and get rid of the pool tables, video games and such. Prison should not be like home. The aim is to make people not want to go back.

Once again, without actually having done very much, Al Qaeda have scored a victory in the so called 'war on terror.' The purpose of a campaign of teror is not to kill vast numbers or to destroy property, industrial installations and military hardware but to disrupt the routines of the nation or organization under attack. The alleged discovery of a bomb disguised as a toner cartridge for a laser printer on a transatlantic cargo flight at Heathrow airport represents a victory for the terrorists.

We say alleged because rumours are circulating that a high ranked executive of UPS, the carrier on whose flight the parcel was being carried, has denied it was a bomb. The conspiracy theorists were on the case immediately, claiming the Obama abministration were behind the story in an attempt to frighten voters ahead of the mid term elections tomorrow.

This can be discounted because Obama is seen by voters as being too sympathetic to organisations connected with terror so and incident or near miss at this stage would be more likely to drive votes towards Obama's opponents.

What an be said however is that with their usual impeccable timing Al Qaeda have managed to cause maximum disruption in the west at a time when tensions are already high. When security services proclaim their success in combating the terror threat after each unsuccessful attack they miss the point. Last Christmas massive disruption was caused by a wannabe suicide bummer whose plan was to detonate explosives hidden inside his own body as the filight from Nigeria he had travelled on was coming in to land at Chicago.

Forget the fact that the guy was so incompetent he only suceeded in setting fire to his own bollocks, his mission was spectacularly successful. Air travel was disrupted for the rest of the holiday period and higher security measures imposed on airlines since his failure have cost western businesses and governments $Łbillions.

Again the terrorists, whether the bomb was real or there is some substance in the latest rumours, have caused massive disruption.

We do not need higher security on passenger flights. Cargo is a different matter but given the just in time philosophy of modern business, corporate interests are likely to override security risks.

And as for those of us who are not concerned with the air frieght industry, all we need do is heed the words of Winston Churchill, "Keep calm and carry on."

Scientists Splice Human Genes Into Monkey Brain
Scientists have made monkeys brains bigger by splicing them with human genes in an experiment reminiscent of The Planet of the Apes. Experts took the gene known as ARHGAP11B – which directs stem cells in the human brain – and placed it into the brains of common marmosets. The experiment ended up with the monkey fetuses having larger, more advanced, and more-human like brains, according to the study published in Science.

YouTube removes lockdown sceptical interview with researcher Dr Mike Yeadon
One of the themes that has emerged from this “winter of our discontent” has been the fact that social media and big tech companies are heavily involved with governments and corporate interests in censoring content on the internet [ ... ] the suppression of dissenting opinions and the reporting of inconvenient facts which focuses on several themes: the covid – 19 pandemic, climate change, racial tensions and anything supportive of President Trump in the US election.

Why Are Mainstream Media All Telling The Same Lies Over US Voting Fraud Claims
As the Trump camp continue to pursue their claims that the election was stolen from them by massive voter fraud and the Democrats continue to insist there is no evidence to support these claims, while actively preventing Trump's lawyers and law enforcement agencies from investigating the claims on the basis of evidence put forward by Trump supporters and whistleblowers, we report on the current state of the chaos.

COVID-19 Vaccine Trials Are Rigged to Succeed
William A. Haseltine PhD is a scientist, businessman, author, and philanthropist. He was a professor at Harvard Medical School and Harvard School of Public Health from 1976-1993 where he was Founder and Chair of two academic research departments, the Division of Biochemical Pharmacology and the Division of Human Retrovirology. As mainstream media go berserk hyping the COVID – 19 vaccines, this article written by Dr Haseltine is essential reading for people with functioning minds.

Labour demands crackdown on vaccine criticism ahead of Covid-19 vaccine rollout
With the UK preparing for a Covid-19 vaccine rollout, the Labour Party is calling for emergency censorship legislation to punish social-media companies if they allow posting of what it considers to be “anti-vax disinformation.” “Social-media companies have a pitiful record of tackling disinformation,” shadow culture secretary Jo Stevens tweeted on Sunday.

Government Admits Using Bad Covid-19 Figures To Justify Second Lockdown
The British government has admitted to showing misleading daily Covid fatality projections in its televised coronavirus briefing last weekend, during which PM Boris Johnson announced a second national lockdown. The revelation comes after the UK stats watchdog criticized the government’s lack of transparency in its use of Covid data ...

NHS Nurse Publicly Resigns & Releases the Real Number of COVID Patients in Her Hospital: ‘I Can’t Lie Anymore’

Source: Summit News

An NHS nurse in Britain publicly resigned while wearing her uniform before releasing the real numbers of COVID patients in her hospital and denouncing the government’s disastrous lockdown policy. The whole of England officially entered lockdown 2.0 today despite numerous experts warning that lockdowns will eventually end up killing more people than coronavirus itself.
A video out of Cornwall shows a nurse in uniform giving a speech explaining why she decided to resign from her job.

Time To Rename Democrat Party The Hypocrite Party
As I read the news this morning I wanted to puke every time I encountered a (false) assertion that there is no substance to the claims of massive and organised fraud in the US presidential election made by Donald Trump and his supporters. As there is considerable substance to these claims, evidenced by the refusal of the General Services Administration, tasked with managing the transfer of power after election, to sanction funds for Joe Biden and the Democrats on the basis that several states are still counting votes,

FEC Chairman Says He Believes 'There Is Voter Fraud' In Key States
As the whole of mainstream media continues to ridicule claims made by President Trump and his supporters of wholesale electoral fraud in the recent US election (where results in many key states have not yet been certified, indeed votes are still being counted in some of those states,) the chairman of the Federal Elections Commission (FEC) has come out of the closet for Trump, stating that he believes there is evidence of widespread voter fraud and other alleged electoral irregularities.

Were US 2020 Elections Rigged By Dominion Voting Systems
A so-called computer “glitch” in the voting machines flipping votes during the 2020 US Elections has caused a major controversy. The source and ownership of the voting machines used in the elections has become an urgent issue because of real fears that hackers might tamper with the mechanics of the voting system. However, GreatGameIndia has found that the vendors and not hackers maybe behind the rigging.

US News Sites Claimed UK Nov 5th Fireworks Were To Celebrate Biden Presidency
Many of us in Britain and other developed nations spent most of last week looking on gobsmacked at the fiasco that was playing out across the pond as a nation whose inhabitants tell us if we are not doing things “The American Way” we are doing them wrongly, completely failed to back up their claims when they showed themselves to be completely incapable of running a fair and orderly democratic election.

As The World Hails President Not-Trump, News Media Forget He Hasn’t Won Yet
I read several times today that having been “officially” declared winner of the election and now US President elect, Joe Biden is being called on to heal the nation. It’s bollocks of course, while Joe Biden holds an apparently convincing lead in enough states to give him a majority in the electoral college, that body does not meet to formally elect the president until mid December.

Election Fun And Games In America
According to national sources such as The Epoch Times, Trump is currently at 214 electoral votes. If you add Georgia and North Carolina, both of which are obvious Trump wins, far beyond the margin of any Biden recovery, that puts Trump at 245 electoral votes. Trump is currently leading in Pennsylvania, and it looks like a victory that will be aggressively defended by the President and his team.

WISE ADVICE AS AMERICA VOTES
As America votes to choose its president for the next four years, the incumbent Donald ‘Pussy grabber’ Trump or challenger Joe ‘Sniffer’ Biden and chaos threatens to follow the election no matter who wins, I’m reminded of these words from Buckminster Fuller: “If you take all the machinery in the world and dump it in the ocean, within months more than half of all humanity will die and within another six months they’d almost all be gone; if you took ...

The American Election Is Going To Be Fun.
With the national polls showing Sniffer Biden has a double figure lead byt state – by – state polling showing the race neck and neck, the scandal involving Biden’s son Hunter and dodgy deals in China and Ukraine now embracing Pappy Joe’s activities as Obama’s Vice President, the Democrats claiming Trump will not accept defeat …

The Immigration Problem - Who Says We Have To Hand Our Nations To Alien Cultures

The leader of Italy’s Lega party has raged against a double standard whereby Italian citizens are getting “fines and lockdowns” whereas illegal immigrants get “open ports.”
The government of Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte has raised fines to unprecedented levels for those who break the nation’s mask mandate and other new restrictions on personal freedoms, while migrants continue to stream into the country unimpeded on a daily basis, Mr. Salvini complains.

Brexit: An Australia deal, or an EU penal colony?
It never ceases to amaze me that more than four years on from the referendum we are still subject to the whole panoply of EU rules which we voted to leave behind [... ] I am struck by how few of those involved had any experience, knowledge or indeed interest in the hugely important issue of business and the economy.

Facebook labels 2+2=4 “misinformation”

by JuraCalling
Oct 20, 2020 8:50 PM
On the 5th of October, the WHO’s Dr Michale Ryan claimed “about 10%” of the global population had been infected with Sars-Cov-2. With an alleged death toll of roughly 1 million, that puts the infection-fatality ratio at roughly 0.14%. The maths is not disputable. And yet Facebook has flagged it as “misinformation”.The Facebook claim is based on an article by Health Feedback, an “independent” fact-checker, which is shoddy, inaccurate and dishonest... Once Again Independent Research Shows Similarity Of COVID to HIV
Though suggestions that there is something extremely dodgy about the COVID - 19 virus are quickly dismissed by mainstream media, government propaganda cdepartments press officers and social media censorship outfits life Facebook, Google and Twitter, the rumors will not go away. This is mainly because independent researchers keep finding evidence that the virus has been genetically modified in a laboratory ...

Study says UK lockdown linked to thousands of excess deaths

We predicted back in March that lockdowns aimed at halting the spread of coronavirus would only delay the progress of the pandemic rather than eradicating the virus and would likely cause as many early deaths from other causes as it would prevent from COVID - 19. We were called crazy conspiracy theorists and worse of course but once again we are being proved right.

No Medical Justification For Emergency Measures”
AIER reports that the following letter has made an impact on public health authorities not only in Belgium but around the world. The text could pertain to any case in which states locked down their citizens rather than allow people freedom and permit medical professionals to bear the primary job of disease mitigation.
So far it has been signed by 435 medical doctors, 1,439 medically trained health professionals, and 9,901 citizens.

Lockdown 2 – Backlash Against Project Fear
In her column for The Daily Telegraph today Juliet hartley Brewer just about summed up the mood in the country after the governments latest moves to turn Britain into a miniature version of Communist China. Ms. Hartley brewer, known for her Consrvative leanings, laid into the government, and its plans for a second lockdown even though the first failed wirh disastrous consequences, and was absolutely ruthless in

The Second Wave Is Another Hoax From The Lientists
As it becomes clear day by day that the alleged 2nd Wave of the COVID – 19 pandemic is a complete and utter hoax cooked up by the deep state in collaboration with lientists paid by the vaccine manufacturers it is now essention that We The People stop this fascist coup d’etat by simply withdrawing cooperation.

You Could Be Arrested for Breaking New Coronavirus Rules, Says Boris
It is fair to say the extension of restrictions on movement and socialising announced by the government yesterday have been received with underwhelming enthusiasm by the public. Despire firgures broadcast by BBC News and other establishment propaganda parrots in mainstream media suggesting wholesale approval of the new measures, the feel one gets from internet comment threads and pub conversations suggests the opposite.

Readers may find it hard to believe but while our attention has been focused on the coronavirus pandemic, other things have been happening. Recently the eco - crusties of EkSTIMKtion Rebellion have elbowed their way back into out consciousness and now, with Antifa and Black Lives Matter, form an unholy trinity of Marxist seditionist groups intent not only on destroying capitalism but destroying civilisation ...

Defund the dons: why we need a new approach to higher education

Back in 1999, Tony Blair, chanting the mantra of "education, education, education, pledge that the Labour government would work towards getting 50% of the young people into university, thus enabling the Britain economy to tap into “the genius of the many” and build a society ready for the oncoming technological revolution, what Blail called 2The Knowledge Economy." Higher education grants for the academically gifted would be replaced by low interest "student loans" to be repaid when, after graduating, the new, university educated masses achieved a certain leval of income.

Why Accepting Illegal Immigrants Is Not Going To Help Them
Celebrities, 'influencer', woke idiots and far left political groups are creating a chorus of catawauling complaints about the deportation of illegal immigrants who are crossing The English Channel from France in increasing numbers. But will accepting them only encourage more to come and be exploited by people trafficking ccrime gangs? This article lifts the lit on the illegal immigrants racke

Lockdown #2 More Likely As ‘Cases’ Rise Nationally"

We might have said this before so as the talk of a second lockdown gets louder in mainstream media, with pseudo-scientists spewing fake statistics generated by mathematical models of reality and sanctimonious politicians bleat that their imposition of fascist control freakery on society is for ouir own good. We are told today that Coronavirus is increasing in every area of the UK ...

The Inevitable Implosion of Biden’s Campaign
It’s tempting to attribute Joe Biden’s plummeting poll numbers in key battleground states to his dilatory denunciation of the riots that still ravage their Democrat-run cities. However, the campaign’s fatal flaw is more subtle than Biden’s tacit approval of mob violence. It is rooted in the classism that resulted in his nomination to be the Democratic standard bearer.

Latest COVID Scam move a step too far?

The scam goes on with the latest move to keep the coronavirus fear and panic conspiracy afloat being a rumour that the government will ask over 50s in Britain to"shield" (i.e. place themselves under house arrest,) throughout the winter. But it may be the tipping point, public rteaction has been totally negative.

Coronavirus Pandemic: The Scam Continues
Just when we thought it was safe to go out in the fresh air ...... the government and their "scientific advisers have thought of a way to extend the scam. It seems that as we have been saying since March, trashing the economy and destroying the fabric of society is less impoortant to them than advancing their plan for a global, authoritarian government ...Continue reading

U N Chief Predicts New World Order After COVID
As the world continues to grapple with the deadly consequences of the Coronavirus pandemic, U.N. Secretary-General Antonio Guterres said, only one thing is certain in its wake: a new model of global governance is coming and the globalist body is doing all it can to hurry its arrival. Well we did try to tell you this is what the great pandemic hoax was about.

Police Ignored Slave Labour in Leicester Sweatshops, Feared Accusations Of Racism
In a scenario resembling the inaction of the authorities in the face of blatantly illegal activities by the notorious grooming gangs that targeted and sexually exploited vulnerable and under — age girls, a newly published report has revealed British police and government agencies have ignored the existence of ‘sweatshops’ full of mostly South Asian heritage workers in the British fashion industry over fears that they would be called racist.

Pandemic: The Latest Evidence Suggests Sweden Was Right All Along
As the COVID — 19 pandemic rolls on with the mathematical modellers, the masked snivellers and the vax maniacs still unable to offer any logical prognosis of why measures taken have not worked as well as was hoped (or in some cases not at all, we need to look at the news from Sweden. Covid 19: Statistics, Lies and the Corruption Of Science
As the COVID — 19 pandemic continues to dominate the news and defy the efforts of researchers to understand its many mysteries, including its origins and why it affects people who contract the virus in wildly different ways, one thing we have learned for certain so far is the extent to which the Pharmaceuticals manufacturers cartel (colloquially Big Pharma,) exercise a pernicious influence over medical research and healthcare ...

COVID19 PCR Tests are Scientifically Meaningless
Politicians and “experts” scream and shout about testing and isolation being the way to halt the COVID 19 pandemic to a halt, but everything else they hsve told us about the disease has been absolute bollocks, why should this be any different?
Well surprise, surprise, it isn’t any different. The idear that testing everybody ten times a day (OK I might be exaggerating for effect,) will do any good is just another diversionary tactic designed to distract us

Covid virus tests useless

As the Coronavirus rolls on with every trumpeted breakthrough fizzling out into a great big nothing, political leaders and media 'influencers' keep telling us we must follow the science. Yet with so much contradictory and conflicting evidence, perhaps it's time we learned that "following the science" is the worst thing we can do? The Daily Stirrer has been telling you since the start of the farrago that scientist is a synonym of wanker,

Pandering To Black Lives Matter Agitators Will Further Alienate White Working Class.

With every Tom Dick and Harry, particularlt the dicks, "taking the knee," ignorantly believing that such a medieval symbol of submission and servitude will somehow earn them politically correct brownie points with the wannabe conquerors of western civilisation something has to give. Footballer Rashford Sends Gov’t The Wrong Way And Scores For Lockdown Hit Families
The UK’s Conservative Government was sold a dummy by 22 year old Marcus Rashford, a football (soccer) start who plays for Manchester United and England. Showing more charisma that the entire government and opposition parties combined could muster, the young goalscorer successfully motivated public opinion and lobbied the government to reverse its plan to suspend the provision of supply free meals for children from poorer families during the traditional summer break ...

COVID — 19: Lockdown Regime Responsible For Thousands Of Deaths
The Lockdown which, based on scientific advice that was always suspect but is now known to have been profoundly flawed, was announced by the UK government on March 23rd and passed into Law on March 25th, was widely predicted by people sceptical of they type of science based on output from mathematical models rather than empirical evidence, appears to have led to the premature deaths of tens of thousands of people in the UK according to independent research.

In A Corporatist System Of Government, Corporate Censorship Is State Censorship
Last year, representatives of Facebook, Twitter, and Google were instructed on the US Senate floor that it is their responsibility to “quell information rebellions” and adopt a “mission statement” expressing their commitment to “prevent the fomenting of discord.”
“Civil wars don’t start with gunshots, they start with words,” the representatives were told. “America’s war with itself has already begun ...

COVID19: W.H.O. Admit Everything We Told You Is Bollocks …
Yesterday the World Health Organization (W.H.O.) which has since the beginning of February been at the forefront of the fear and panic campaign stunned the world when it was reveled in an announcement reported by CNBC that the coronavirus is not being spread by asymptomatic carriers. This means that the lockdown, social distancing and all the rest of the pandemic measures were based on errors and misunderstandings (or what us cynics might call a pack of lies.)

Catalogue of Greenteth posts on Italy

The posts listed in this catalogue are not historical, they are a look at where Italy stands in relation to Europe, and more importantly The European Union today. Always an enthusiastic supprter of earlier versions of the Europe community of nations, Italy is regarded as the nation likely to be first to follow The UK out of the Union. But while the UK was always a bad fit with the increasing federalised EU, Italy is integral to its existance.

Twitter’s Attempt To Censor Trump Will Backfire On Big Tech Tyrants
Last week’s main story, pushing Coronavirus aside, before itself being uncerimoniously bumped off the top spot, was the attempt by far left social media site Twitter (preferred website of all the insane, illiterate and incontinent people in the world,) to censor U.S. President Donald Trump Donald Trump, classifying his somewhat rabid tweets as misinformation. His posts may be crazy, but misinformation?

The Race To Social Breakdown - Greenteeth & Daily Stirrer posts on race and racism issues
People to the left of the political spectrum would have us believe that raceism and racist issues are the most important problems we have to deal with, ahead of, for example, economic meltdown, the population explosion and disease epidemics. They would also have us believe all 'white people' are racist while all dark skinned people are saints. But how much of the left's case is Virtue Signalling and how much is part of a black supremacist agenda?

Big Tech tyranny is the biggest threat to democracy in our era
Two things we have learned (or should have,) from the Coronavirus "pandemic" of 2020, the government is not our friend and the billionaire philantropists of Silicon Valley never act in the interests of anybody but themselves. While Bill Gates plots to use the pandemic to advance his wet dream project of injecting everybody in the world with an RFID chip, Google, Facebook and Twitter are censoring the truth and promoting false information ...

Bill Gates running deadly global “vaccine empire” that can only exist through extreme censorship
The reason why Microsoft co-founder and billionaire eugenicist Bill Gates is being given so much airtime amid the Wuhan coronavirus (COVID-19) crisis is because Gates is currently the world’s largest manufacturer of vaccines, as well as the money behind the mass vaccination agenda.
Gates is also the single-largest donor to both the World Health Organization (WHO) and the CDC Foundation, both of which act as marketing arms for his global vaccine empire.

Coronavirus man made? We told you so …
A new study released yesterday confirms of of the “conspiracy theories” is, if not proven correct, at least far more credible that any of the bullshit scenarios peddled by mainstream media. In early March, 2020 we reported comments by an eminent virologist who had studied the virus then still raging in China and concluded that it was man made rather than a product of evolution “Nutty conspiracy theory,” the authority worshippers screeched in unison

Oxford Covid Vaccine Fails But Big Pharma Will Sell It Anyway
Many highly - placed members of the lockdown forever cult, Bill Gates among them, have been spreading the idea that lockdown must continue until a vaccine for COVID - 19 is available because only a vaccine can save us. Don’t Be Fooled, Elites Have Been Planning This Power Grab For Years
As long as large portions of the economy remain on lockdown, the government will be forced to perform massive stimulus programs/ social spending. This Friday morning, the House is preparing to vote on a $3 trillion stimulus bill later today. While the particular bill in question is chock full of Democrats’ legislation and likely won’t make it through the Senate, the White House and the GOP are both in favor of providing additional stimulus checks to Americans in the near future.

As We Predicted The Coronavirus bill Is The Biggest Assault On Freedom Since World War 2
Things have gone so far beyond what a rational response to an outbreak of a highly contagious but for most people relatively minor illness that I am starting to believe the conspiracy theories. Along with my fellow Boggart Bloggers I predicted weeks ago the current outbreak of the so - called coronavirus would see a massive hyping of the threat level leading up to an assault on our freedoms. And that is exactly what we have seen happening over the past week.

Critics Batter The Fake Science Used To Justify The Lockdown As Boris Waffles
Regular readers may recall this blog was among the first to expose the fact that the pandemic model predicting 500,000 COVID – 19 deaths if the entire nation was not placed under indefinite house arrest was based on a deeply flawed mathematical model of the pandemic built by a “scientist” at Imperial College, London, a college heavily reliant on funding from the Bill and Melinda Gates foundation. Total Surveillance: Contact-tracing app will be ‘key part’ of UK government’s Covid-19 ‘surveillance programme’
The hugely unpopular NHS contact-tracing app proposal, which as libertarians point out will giver the government the power to track all our movements, will be a “key part” of the U.K. government’s Covid-19 containment policy for the foreseeable future, [ ... ] The app, designed ostensibly to notify smartphone users if they came into close contact with someone who had tested positive for the coronavirus, will give government agencies new powers, to record and store the complete movements of individuals and details of those with whom they were in contact.

Lockdown: How can anyone defend the “scientists.”
As we digested Boris Johnson’s address to the nation this morning, and mainstream media fell over themselves praising the Prime Ministers cautious approach and adherence to the advice of “scientists,” my own reaction was FUCK YOU BORIS. Being disables I don’t get out much I but will be arguing for a campaign of civil disobedience to prove the idiotic bletherings of “scientists” with their mathematical models of the real world do more harm than good.

Coronavirus: The data Says DON’T PANIC, End The Lockdown Now
The COVID-19 pandemic appears to be entering the containment phase. Americans are now desperate for sensible policymakers who have the courage to ignore the panic and rely on facts. Leaders must examine accumulated data, combine that empirical evidence with fundamental principles of biology and then thoughtfully end the lockdown. Five key facts are being ignored by those calling for continuing the near-total lockdown.

COVID-19 Is A Man-Made Virus: HIV-Discoverer Says "Could Only Have Been Created In A Lab
As the mainstream media and politicians begin to raise/admit the possibilities that the source of COVID-19 was likely a lab in Wuhan (accidentally leaked or otherwise) - before being mocked, censored, and chastised it appears more actual 'scientists,' or at least those not paid by or working for a lab in Wuhan, China) are willing to admit what we suspected all along - this virus is man-made.

Many people suspected as far back as January, when stories about an epidemic of a new virus began to leak out of China that we were not and would not be told the whole story. The virus infecting thousands of Chinese in the large inland city of Wuhan was, we learned, a strain of corona virus, the genre that infects us with the common cold, influenza and a host of other infections of varying seriousness.

Coronavirus deaths: Are The Authorities Deceiving Us?Yesterday we reported that a Canadian outfit had carried out an analysis of China’s response to Coronavirus and concluded that while politicians and academics (aka “scientists” or “experts”) are heaping praise on the way the regime in Beijing has contained and controlled its epidemic, the Chinese have actually been lying, the epidemc is still raging and numbers of infections and deaths from COVID – 19 are far higher than reported,

Is This The Smoking Gun That Proves China Has Lied About The Coronavirus Outbreak
With the number of confirmed cases of, and deaths from coronavirus in Italy, a nation of 63 million people having now surpassed the number of infections officially admitted by the government of China, a nation of 1.4 billion and the nation where the news strain of coronavirus, COVID – 19 was first observed, it was obvious to the realists among us that the Chinese government’s claims to have contained the virus were deeply suspect and further claims that the outbreak were under control were as reliable as reported sightings of The Tooth Fairy ...

As We Predicted The Coronavirus bill Is The Biggest Assault On Freedom Since World War 2
Things have gone so far beyond what can be considered a rational response to an outbreak of a highly contagious but for most people relatively minor illness that I am starting to believe even the conspiracy theories I know I made up myself. Along with my fellow Boggart Bloggers I predicted weeks ago the current outbreak of the so - called coronavirus would see a massive hyping of the threat level leading up to an assault on our freedoms. And that is exactly what we have seen happening over the past week.

Germany’s Official State TV Channel Cheers Coronavirus For Killing Old People
Trawling around the weirder fringes of the web, as we bloggers and cyberjournalists are sometimes obliged to if we want to bring you the news the mainstream will not report, one occasionally comes across something important but disturbing – like being brought face – to – face with how sick and warped the far left ecopsychos really are. Take a sketch recently broadcast as part of a satirical show the title of which translates as Bohemian Browser Ballet, shown by German state broadcaster ARD.

UK To Ask Citizens Over 70 To Self - Isolatate For 4 MONTHS As Coronavirus Fails To Kill Zillions UK Health Secretary Matt Hancock today confirmed the government plans to ask people aged over 70 to isolate themselves for up to four months amid a coronavirus pandemic. The goal is to protect them. It's quite obvious to us, experienced bloggers that we are, that the government, civil service, law encorgement and national security agencies and all the assorted experts and talking heads have forgotten the lesson our generation learned from The Hitch Hiker's Guide To The Galaxy ...

EU States Rebel Against Brussels As Van Leyen Demands Borders Stay Open
The cracks in European solidarity are growing deeper by the day as the coronavirus crisis threatens to split the bloc. The response of European leaders has varied from panic, as several member-states have takeen unilateral action including severe border closures, to a laissez - fair attidude, notably from France's idiot president Emmanuel Macron who favours total inaction, having said complacently that viruses don't recognise borders.

US John Hopkins University Prof Says Don't Believe Corona Virus Numbers
The number of confirmed cases outside of China roughly tripled once again this week, and if this outbreak continues to escalate at this pace there will be more than a million confirmed cases in less than a month. But as bad as the official numbers are, the truth is that there are a whole lot more people walking around out there that have caught the virus but have not been tested.

Biden the Democrats least hopeless hopeful? Or is he?
A senior U.S. Republican reportedly said recently that the most difficult ticket Donald Trump could face in the next election would be Joe Biden partnered by Elizabeth Warren. This was not, needless to say, because Biden was a brilliant debater or a lethal political adversary. “If he was any stupider, my you’d have to water him”, the anonymous Republican quipped.See also >>>

EU Borders at Breaking Point as Migrants Shipped to Frontier
This blog has always tried to point out to the lefties who screech about “open borders” that the European Union commitment to free movement of Labour only applies to citizens of EU member states moving withing the Union. They are closed minded and bigoted on the subject of course, “open borders” facilitating the movement of hundreds of millions of uneducated third world peasants to the developed nations is one of the sacred cows of their ideologically driven agenda ... That The United Nations Organisation has ambitions to become a world government is well known, this site and many others have reported it's moves and agendas for years. Now it seems the U.N. has become part of thatcabal of supra - national bureaucracies and, to borrow a line from a Paul Simon song, loose affiliations of millionaires and billionaires such as The Bilderberg Group and the World Economic Forum. Their latest move to impose cultural uniformity on the world however, is only going to lose them credibility

American physicists believe that they have discovered a strange state of matter entirely new to science. uSch unintentional breakthroughs never seem to happen anymore. Western university-industrial complexes are burdened with paperwork, and huge resources are devoted to ethical and health and safety requirements. These modern innovations have their benefits, of course, but they do have a major downside ...

Criminal damage in Cambridge reveals the police soft peddaling on Extinction Rebellion crimes Nobody is allowed to walk on the grass outside Trinity College Cambridge. I suppose an exception might be made if you were a 365-year-old don who once lolled under the famous apple tree with Sir Isaac Newton (probably a couple of those old fellows still holed up in the port cellar).

Otherwise, set one foot on that sacred turf and you will soon find yourself experiencing the full force of Newtonian gravity; rugby-tackled to the ground by a puce-faced porter in a bowler hat.

Germany's ruling party split over how to respond to AfD
Germany's Christian Democrat party (CDU) is as deeply divided as Britain's Labour Party over how to respond to the upsurge of nationalism. Coronavirus Contains “HIV Insertions”: Claim Stokes Fears Over Genetically Modified BioweaponFor the past two weeks mainstream media reporting of the epidemic of a new strain of coronavirus in China has been getting more and more hysterical. However, reports have pushed back against one "conspiracy theory" about the origins of the virus that has now infected as many as 70,000+ people in the central China city of Wuhan alone (depending on whom you believe).

Corona Virus: Should We Worry
The official data coming out of China and from other sources including the World Health Organisation (WHO) on the spread of the Wuhan coronavirus continues to suggest an exponential growth rate. With more and more infectious disease experts are now openly calling the virus a full-blown global pandemic, many people are asking should we in the west be worried and how bad might things get?

Time is NOT real: Physicists show EVERYTHING happens at the same time

The concept of time is simply an illusion made up of human memories, everything that has ever been and ever will be is happening RIGHT NOW. That is the theory according to a group of esteemed physicists who aim to solve one of the universe’s mysteries.
Most people do not even consider the concept of time but there is nothing in the laws of physics to state that it should move in the forward direction that we know. The laws of physics are symmetric ultimately meaning that time could have easily moved in a backward direction as it does forward. Indeed some adherents to the ‘big crunch’ theory say time WILL run backwards when the universe stops expanding and starts contracting back in on itself.

Quitaly Back On As Salvini Prepares To Take On The EU
