WELCOME TO OUR WORLD

A Gothic Interlude
A short visit to the tiny but picturesque Grand Duchy of Luxembourg will reward those eager to travel off the beated track. Luxembourg can be said to be at the crossroads of Europe, certainly as Empires have waxed and waned plenty of powerful military forges have lined up to attack the citadel of Luxembourg city which stands on an inaccessible rock promentory, the bock. It in not just the city, crammed with history though it is, that holds attactions for visitors though. The surrounding countryside, rolling hills and lush green valleys is beautiful in itself but it is dotted with spectactlar gothic castles and fairy tale villages. There are plenty of hotels to suit all budgets, the restaurants are cosmopolitan and once out of town it is possible to sample the traditional menus of Northern France and Southern Germany.

Wales - Land Of Druids and Dragons
Wales, on the western fringe of Britain, to the Romans the ancient fringe of the world, is a land of great scenic beauty rich in myth and legend. Dragons, Wizards, mythical beasts, fairies, ghostly warriors and otherworldly beings wait around every corner. The welsh have always been great storytellers and balladeers of course. From ancient bards to many modern novelists, poets and musicians, the creative nature of the Celtic culture finds plenty of ways to expresss itself among the people of this small nation. Listen to Welsh people discussing the price of fish and one can easily imagine they are reciting some verse drama. Even English when spoken here takes on the rhythms and tonal nuances of a more acnient, romantic tongue. On photographic this tour of north and west wales Ian Thorpe takes us around some of the most spectacular scenery, the most fascinating historic buildings and ancient sites, relating the facts and legends associated with them and throws in a few entertaining personal anecdotes.
